She read hand signals to sit, speak, etc. Also when putting on her harness, she sat and gave one paw at a time.
Arrival Story:
A week after our Dachsund of 13 1/2 years passed away from Lymphoma in 1996, we went to check out Dal pups because our Siberian Mix, Missy, and ourselves were depressed. With a litter of 13 pups (9 weeks old) to choose from, she had a cute pink nose and gave lots of kisses, so we couldn't resist her. Her pink nose turned all black eventually as Dals continue to get spots throughout their life, but she still gave TONS of kisses.
Bio:
We adopted a sister for Dottie from Kentucky in May, 2004. She's a red Siberian Husky named Tala Elizabeth. Dottie and Tala played for hours. Dottie's sister, Missy, passed away in 11/2003, so Dottie was really missing having a playmate. Be careful for what you wish for..... HA HA
Dottie Marie passed away on suddenly on July 24th, 2006. We believe it was the result of a significant heart murmur that was diagnosed just that morning. She had just turned 10-years-old. We sadly miss our baby girl! She had such a loveable personality and was a very affectionate baby.
