Update - On January 8, 2009, our little Mollie succumbed to age and illness. We miss her terribly and will forever remain inspired by her never-give-up attitude. We feel so lucky to have known and loved her for all of her 13 years.
Mollie is a little miracle dog. When she was just a puppy, she began having seizures. She had to have immediate surgery, upon which the veterinarians discovered that she suffered from liver shunts. She takes medicine every day for her condition and also is on a special diet, but every once in a while she still has a seizure. She also has many other medical conditions, such as allergies, knee problems, and stomach problems. Yet in spite of it all, Mollie is a little fighter, with the most positive attitute of anyone (human or canine) around. And they said she wouldn't live past two!
