Pups, today,December 24th, I finally got a squirrel. I mean--I was faster than the squirrel, and when I charged after him I WON! I think we both were so shocked that neither one of us knew what to do next--I hit him head-on and he rolled over in the snow. It took a second before I could figure out what to do next, and unfortunately he was quicker and ran for the tree. Darn--although I'm not sure what I would have done anyway.
But it was exciting and I sat at the bottom of the tree just in case he wanted to come back down and play.
Mom had to come and get me in before I froze to the spot!
Oh and guess what else--I got another squirrel, almost exactly like the first one from Santa! I guess he didn't know I had one already!

Now--I have to tell you about my Thanksgiving surprises!! I had the best time. The first thing that happened was my mom peeked outside the door in the morning to get the paper, and lo and behold--there was a box that someone left there the day before! Guess what? It was my squirrel, and what a lovely guy he is!!! His tail is pretty much like the ones I chase outside. I quickly found the squeaker and blitzed with a squeak on almost every other gallop! That makes my mom and dad just stand laugh with amazement! So that was fun, but then---- we had an extra guest for dinner. My gramma's friend brought her grandpup, a wiener dog named Ralphie!!!
We were best friends right away, and that little dog could really fly around for having such short legs.
He could almost blitz right with me. I didn't even mind sharing my treasures with him, he was so cute. I let him chew my squirrel and I was so amazed at how he chased when dad threw my big fluffy bone, that I let him get it!
I'll be putting a picture on my page of both the squirrel and Ralphie! And of course--I'll be in both of them!
The only bad thing was that Ralpies gramma was in charge of the pie, and she brought Apple!!!!!
Mom says she will make some pumpkin custard so I can have a taste of that, and then she knows exactly what is in it!
We also had a little snow---not as much as Shasta and Daisy, but it's a start!
All in all---a pretty good day!

I was in a bad mood before Shasta and Daisy came to my house last Saturday. So here is my story---My mom was walking with me down the road to a cul du sac!
When we were there it was really dark and I had to Grrrrrr, 'cause I knew something was in the shadows.
Well something came toward us and it turned into a big old American Bull Dog that was on the loose and not supposed to be there! I started barking to defend my mom, but then he got too close. Mom was trying to pull me closer to pick me up, but I didn't think that was a good idea, so I pulled away and whooooop, my collar slipped right off, and the fight was on! I'm not saying I lost or anything, but after going around a few times, I decided it would be a good idea to go in the house, but it was way up the road---so I ran. Poor mom is old and out of shape, 'cause it took her longer to get there than me. We were running around in the front yard when she got there. I never stopped barking the whole time--not yiking like I was scared, just mad barking--this dog was ruining my night! Mom opened the front dog and I go in quick. He either put me in his mouth or rolled me on the ground--in the confusion I don't know which, but my mom said my side and back were wet when she finally picked me up! Other wise I was fine. Mom called and found out where he was supposed to be, and things started to calm down.
It took more than 1/2 hour before I could calm down and stop panting hard. So I guess I didn't feel so good after that. Mom and dad were worried I would have a heart attack, but I finally stopped.
The next morning I had to keep looking down the street to make sure he wasn't coming back. I didn't want him around when the girls got there for sure.
Now I've gone back each night and it's been OK.
From now on we will be a little more careful, but it turns out the Bull dog was with someone who rarely comes to our neighborhood, and we will know when they come again. The man said ssid he will never let him loose again. They didn't think anyone was around that night!!!
So that is the story of why I was in a bad mood
