Arrival Story:
We bought Rocco from a newly-established pet store on Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn. The owner imports the puppies from a breeder in Hungary (which unfortunately, we later realized may be a "puppy mill" - Grrr!). We saw Rocco sitting all alone in his cage with these droopy puppy-eyes and beautiful bat-ears (his face gave us the impression he was wise beyond his years). We fell in love with him right away! Funny thing - the owner initially thought Rocco was a girl - so we called him "Stella" for about a hour; that is - until I took a peek and found out otherwise :)
