One of my brothers is called "pig." And he is. Now that I am 3 weeks old, I am getting to be hungry ALL the time, because pig always gets to mom first.

Soon I get to try solid food. Then things should be good.

My name is Savannah, and I am a mush eater.

Hi, I’m back. I have a longer name, now. My mom person has been trying to find a way to get all her older dogs names in mine, to remember them by. So when she sends my registration papers in my name is going to be “Savannah Blue Belle.” (My Auntie Cotton was registered as “Bonnie Blue Flag" and Auntie Dixie was called “Belle” as a nickname.)

Mom Person came down to visit me this weekend since I am still too young to go home with her. I am now eating solid food (well mush, anyway) and have learned how to get in ahead of pig when mom comes around to feed us. So I am getting bigger all the time!

I have a vet!

My Person Mom is getting all set for me to go home with her. She went today to make me a Dr. appt. so that I can be all fine and healthy. I have already seen a vet couple of times, but person mom says I will need to visit again, and that I am going to see a pretty lady in a red smock. I like red!

I have a red collar, too. When my neck is big enough to wear one!

confessions.

I have to confess that I am not sure WHO I am yet. I am ONE of the two puppies in the picture with the blue frame. But...I am second pick yellow girl and the person who gets first pick HAS STILL NOT MADE UP HIS MIND! Mom person is getting anxious. We are nearly twins (as you can see) but she wants to know which of us is her own little Savannah. And we want to know, too.

A Decision Is Made!

And now I know who I am. Pictures will follow soon, but I am really most excited. I am getting ready to go to my new home next week. I have my own little room there, until I learn "house manners" and toys and chewies and all kinds of stuff.

When person mom comes to get me next week she is going to bring a blanket and rub it all over mom, dad, grandma and all the other pups so I will smell them when I am sleeping and not be lonely. (And I have a purple plush chew monkey and my own tick-tick clock to keep me company!)

I'll miss the other pups and mom and dad and grandmom. But I am ready to go to my new home.

A firm ID - I am the puppy on the left. I am slightly less rambunctious than my sister, and a little chubbier. I also have a fluffier coat and am almost all cream colored, unlike sis who has some gold tips.

Five Days at Home!

Hello, I have so much to tell you! I have been in my new home for 5 days now and I like it very much. The first night I did cry a little, because I missed pig and the others, but I feel better now because there is SO MUCH to look at and do here! I have all kinds of toys but my favorite is the old shoes, though I do not like them so much now that mom-person (I’ll call her Mama from now on) took the metal bits off so I would not pinch myself. They just don’t taste as good now.

I also like the purple plush bullfrog.

There is no crowding at lunch and I have lots of fun running around my yard and trying to get under the shed. (They keep saying – “No, Savannah” and sometimes I don’t)

Last night we watched TV and the show was boring, but in between, I like the parts called “commercials” especially the ones with water and music. “Come to Jamaica” is my favorite. I wonder, what is Jamaica? Is it under the shed?

Ah. Mama kept trying to roll me over and I was resisting at first because when pig would do that it was usually bad news. But Mama did not bite me on the neck or jump on me, she started rubbing my belly. Boy is that relaxing. I just had to close my eyes and sigh.

It is wonderful, this belly rubbing thing.

2nd week.

I got weighed today and now weigh 12 pounds. I love my puppy chow. I love my Mama. And my Grandma.

Everyday I get a belly rub session and watch the news with Mama. Still like the commercials better.

Life is good.

14 lbs. and counting!

I didn't have anything special for Thanksgiving Dinner, but boy can those People eat. I got one little bite of turkey, but other than that it is chow, chow chow. Still, not having to queue up with all the sibs means all that chow is mine! And it is starting to have an effect on my figure.

Most watch out for that - my Auntie Elle Dog is quite plump. I have heard that she likes to eat rocks and mulch as well as dog chow.
