Arrival Story:
Rasta began his life as a stray dog in Nassau, Bahamas. He lived on scraps he scrounged where he could.. One day some tourists came on vacation from N.C., USA. They were big animal lovers and they began feeling him. They wanted to adopt him but they had to go back home. So they called a local rescue group in The Bahamas and sent his photo that they had taken. It turned out the lady who volunteered at the rescue's husband worked with another lady who lived right by where he was last spotted. She recognized him and the people from the US and those in Nassau started communicating about Rasta. One day he showed back up and they grabbed him and took him to the vet to get checked out. The Americans arranged to charter a private plane just to fly their new dog home to them because the commercial flights wouldn't take him in the summer months. Rasta came to America and lived for 5 wonderful years being spoiled and given every advantage and tons of love. If only he could have lived forever!

Rasta went to the Bridge last week and his people are heartbroken. He had a true soul connection with them. He was the coolest dog ever!

Help everybody! I don't feel well. The doc says I have a mass on my lungs and congestive heart failure and low calcium for whatever that means. My people love me like crazy and saved me from starvation on the mean streets of Nassau Bahamas to fly away and live with them in Raleigh North Carolina. I am such a happy lucky loved dog but I need more time to live my life. Mom and Dad need me. I can't go yet!
So won't you please pray for me? Pray I get better.
Thank you very much!
