Likes:
"To play with and chew on Nikolai... and food, of course." He has something about digging in mud too, stay out from under those bushes! Ughhh! He he he.

Pet-Peeves:
"When Nikolai hogs all of the stuffies, or makes me settle and stop playing. Oh, and I don't really like when mum tries to trim my piggie-toe-nails either, blah."

Favorite Toy:
"Anything I can play fetch or tug with, oooh, please play with me! Yes, with this slobbery stuffie, that'll do! Throw it, huh, huh, huh, throw it...!! Ok, I'm back... throw it again, huh, huh!!"

Favorite Food:
Um, too much of anything, it seems...

Favorite Walk:
"Anywhere, please take me for a walk! It's SOooooo FUN."

Best Tricks:
We actually have him doing "Sit"... where his butt actually stays down, instead of bouncing back up and expecting a treat right away... Silly boy.

Arrival Story:
Nikko isn't actually in our family yet.... My in-laws have custody of him for now, as he was living with one of their daughters, but he will join us once our "old-man" Nikita goes over the Rainbow Bridge (which, according to him, isn't going to be any time soon... even at over sixteen and a half!). I'm not sure who Nikko's sire was (other than being a German Shepherd, maybe a White GSD?), but his mum was a beautiful, dark copper, red and white Siberian. Nikko is a striking, although very overweight, dog (ugh, he's gained 30 lbs in the 2 yr period of living w/ my in-laws, yikes!)... I took him to an obedience class, where the instructor described him as a "Gentleman", and I think that describes him perfectly. For now, he lives with two Maltese, that he loves... and he comes over and visits with our boys, Nikita and Nikolai when I get the chance (he loves to rough-house with Nikolai... someone that's a little closer to his own size!) We're in no hurry to loose 'Kita, but we can't wait to welcome Nikko into our home as ours.

Bio:
UPDATE Nov. 2006......Well, with the unfortunate passing of our old boy, Nikita, we welcomed Nikko into our pack for good . We're only on day 3 so far, but things seem pretty good. We'll have to see how things go the next 3 days when I go back into work... Oh, and boy, do I have to trim those freakish franken-tallons on his front feet, I know they got his fur buzzed at the groomers, but did this boy ever have his nails trimmed? Yikes!.... DEC. - Well, it's been almost a month now, things are going pretty well. A few snarks here and there, it seems when "play" gets a little out of control. But, not very often and nothing we can't put a stop to. Nikko is relentless with wanting to play, he'll chew on Nikolai non-stop, at least they're not the slobbery messes they were initially. Nikko is teaching 'Kolai what fun it is to dig in the yard, too, not just for cool-me-off "nests" under the shrubs, but to dig, and dig, and dig... Ugh, mud puppies! Still, he's a sweetheard and we love that he's a member of our pack now to stay ("Mum got me chipped, so I must be home now!') P.S. Nikko is starting to loose weight, too, hooray for canned pumpkin and green beans added to that kibble! And since we're letting his coat grow back in, he's getting his darker, red ticking back, he looks so similar to Nikolai sometimes, it's too funny!!
