Walks, and lots of them! Car rides with Dad, especially to the bank for a special biscuit. Chasing those annoying cats. Sleeping on his special bed, no one else is allowed on it and he will chase you off. Loves being with people and getting lots of love.

Pet-Peeves:
Cats, cats, cats! Oh, and Baths, yuk.

Little sis Crystal, or Dad tossing a ball

Favorite Food:
Pancakes! And bread, he loves bread, even comes running at the sound of a bread bag.

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere! He is very active and excited just to go anywhere with his family, especially walking down to see the horses. Occasionally he will get out on his own for a romp in the field and enjoys having people try to catch him.

Best Tricks:
Sitting pretty for Mom! Shaking paw with the kid. Rough-housing with Dad. Causing trouble and making it look like Crystal did it!

Arrival Story:
We have 4 cats. I have been wanting a dog for a long time, but we kept getting another cat. One day we found a stray cat and fell in love but also found the owners and had to give her back. I was so down that my fiance finally gave in and took us to look at the dogs at the Humane Society and there was Saber. All the other dogs were barking madly but he just looked so sad and sweet. They said he had only been there 3 days, we took him out and knew we just couldnt bear to take him back in there, he was already part of our family. That was June 2, 2002 and he was 2 yrs old. He has become an important part of our family which now consists of 4 cats, 1 rabbit, and one Saber, as well as our 11 yr old daughter. My fiance even admitted he was dragging his feet on getting a dog because he knew he would get too attached, and Saber has been his side-kick since the moment brought him home. Saber loves his 'Dad', but 'Mom' is the one who taught him tricks like sitting pretty. He is a fun, happy, and loving dog and fits perfectly in our family.

Bio:
Saber has become the man of the house when Dad is away. We lost our 4 male cats due to health or other problems, and now have 2 female cats in addition to his doggie sis Crystal. He is still our loving, gentle giant and looks out for all the girls.

Saber had cancer, now he wags his happy tail and smiles that beautiful smile for everyone on the other side. The pain of his loss is great, and I only hope that he can forgive me for not being able to watch him suffer through surgeries and chemo. He'll always be my big bear.

Well, here's the latest on the family since mom hasnt let me at the puter in a while. Since my last entry, we lost another feline pal, Toby got very sick in october and is now in kitty heaven with Max. Mom felt bad that Cherokee was the last cat so they brought home a kitten named Millie for us all to play with. I still dont like cats much, but I cant seem to scare her no matter how hard I try, so I guess I kinda like her some. Ok, so I let her sleep on my bed sometimes, but dont tell the other dogs ok. Then after thanksgiving when I was happy and full from turkey they bring another butterball, a puppy named Crystal and they tell me she's my new little sister! Well, of course I had to bark and howl at her and let her know that I'm the big dog here. But the next day I already liked her and played with her some. I couldnt let my people think I'm going soft on them! Sheesh! Two girls have moved into my house, what's a guy to do? She is cute, and does kinda grow on ya after a bit tho, but I wonder if I'll get something good for Christmas since I've been such a good boy and let all these new pals into my home. Woof!

Mom took some new pics of me and added them to my page, ain't I a handsome bugger! Plus I want to send up a sad 'Arroooo' to my buddy Max the cat who passed away two weeks ago at the age of 14 (dont know what that is in cat years), but I will miss chasing ya old friend. Anyway, enjoy my new pics and try not to slobber all over your people's screens, ok.
