Arrival Story:
We found Gatsby at the local humane society in January 2003. We had been going to the shelter for weeks looking for the perfect dog, but we never clicked with anyone. One day, we were waiting in the waiting room area to talk with the receptionist when his old guardian came in to give him up (can you believe it -- someone actually wanted to give this lovebug up!). He was off leash and immediately ran up to us and put his paws on my lap with a big grin on his face, tail wagging. We knew we had to bring him home with us.
