Hi everyone!
If you're still following Edward's story, please send him some good thoughts and/or prayers. This morning I got this email from his poor dad:
Just wanted to send a quick update to let you know
that Edward had to undergo emergency surgery last
Wednesday. I noticed that Edward was unable to stand
up by himself or use his legs so I took him to the
animal hospital where he was admitted overnight.
After an MRI, they noticed he had a disc rupture,
where part of the spinal cord and appending cartiledge
breaks off and lodges itself into a different area of
the spinal cord, suppressing it and leaving him
paralyzed. He underwent surgery and he's home now,
although in a lot of pain =( He's slowly beginning to
walk again though his recoup will be about 2-3 weeks.
Just wanted to let you know that he's OK and will be
back to normal in a short time.
Edward's dad is a hero for giving him the surgery, and our family as well as Young At Heart is wishing Edward a speedy recovery. Poor, poor puppy!
We love you, sweet-eared Edward! Feel better, baby!

Edward's dad shot me a quick email to let us know that he's still doing very well!!
************
Edward is doing very well...he looks the same and
sleeps a whole lot, but other than that, enjoys
dividing his time between my place and my parents.
************
Looking good and sleeping. Sounds like a puppy's life to me!
Thank you so much, Edward's daddy and grandma and grandpa, for being his family! You are our heroes!

Hello everyone! It's Edward!
How are you all? I'm doing really, really well. My dad and I have been having so much fun. Recently he had to go on a trip, so I went to Grandma and Grandpa's house. THAT PLACE IS AWESOME!
I don't have any new pictures yet, but I'm totally happy and still totally home. What it means for a dog like me to have a home... I can't tell you. I was in a pound and so scared and now I'm living the high life and happy as a clam.
My dad, and anyone else who will adopt an "older" animal, are amazing people.
Please go to the new foster dog at my old foster parent's place. She is arriving today and they are going to update you with all her information:
CandieLand
Thanks! Woof Woof!

Hi everyone! Edward here.
Life is still awesome. That former life I lived has faded to a distant memory and now all that remains for me is love, pampering and great outfits.
I have added some photos of me hanging out in my forever family. I am still a very good sleeper!
I just want to let you know that my old foster family has helped MAX find his forever home, and now they have another dog coming into the family.
LUKE is on his way. Please go see him here: http://www.dogster.com/dogs/468604 and find out if he's the dog for you!
Yours in love and sleep,
Edward

Hi there, Mac AKA Edward fans!
I'm writing to point you to the newest rescue dog at my foster house, Max. Max's story is sad. He was with a family for five years and they are giving him up because they just don't have time for him. Poor guy.
Read his story and see if he's your forever dog by going here:
http://www.dogster.com/412139
At the very least, please make comments and give Max bones so that other people come and see that he's popular!
Thanks, all! May all puppies be as loved and happy as I am.

Hi everyone! It's Mac! Only I'm totally not Mac anymore, I'm Edward. And frankly, it suits me.
My adoptive dad was a little hesitant at first, and I was a little hesitant. My adoptive dad worried about a lot of things and wondered if I'd get used to them. I worried about his worry and was uncomfortable in a new place. That is why Young At Heart has a two-week money back policy, so that dogs and people who are truly mismached don't feel that they have to stay that way, and dogs and people who are just having some growing pains getting used to each other can have some time to work it out.
Me and my dad have worked it out! I'm eating a lot more and I'm more comfortable at home. Dad took me out yesterday for some Grade A pampering!! Check this out:
"I took him to Soggy Paws for a wash yesterday. He got some aromatherapy to start, then an aloe and vitamin D wash, eucalyptus conditioner, liver biscotti treats at the end, and had his nails clipped and ears cleaned out. Other than the liver biscotti, I was a little jealous!"
Dad, the difference between what I experienced yesterday and the month I spent in a 4X4 cell on a cement floor... it's like I've died and gone to doggie heaven. I love my new name and I love my new home. I love you. And I love the way I smell and also liver biscotti!
New photos will be posted of me in all my pampered wonder soon. Worry not, dear friends, miracles do come true!
Much big-eared love,
Edward

Hi, Ladies! It's Mac!
I know you thought you'd seen the last of me, but I am b-a-c-k, BACK!
My possible adoptive dad and I gave it a shot, but he was nervous about me having enough space and he was nervous about my walking on the hardwood floors. He thinks that maybe I'd be happier somewhere larger and carpeted.
That was HIS ONLY WORRY. Yep. I'm perfect in every other way. I don't chew, I don't bark, I don't go in the house or dig or get into trouble any other way.
I'm still the perfect dog, but maybe perfect for some carpeting.
Write to me! Give me bones and kisses! Adopt me now!

Mac here! Hi, howarya?
Today a guy came to meet me and said he was going to be my new dad! We're going to try out some time together to make sure that we get along, but he's a really nice guy and has a nice place in the city.
Tomorrow we're going to go see the marathon! I have a feeling I'm going to be really happy. As long as the adoption sticks, I'll show you a picture of me and my new dad on adoption day!
I'm going to miss my foster home, but I hope that I'm going somewhere I can be for the rest of my life.
Thanks for following my story, everyone! My former foster-mom will post updates here when my dad sends her stories.
Lots of love and licks,
The Mac
