Arrival Story:
I was driving to Knoxville on I-81 and I spotted two black dots on the side of the road. I passed them (I was taught to never pick up stray dogs) and kept driving. I soon heard my old pup Sigma (The Great Dog Sigma) speak to me and tell me to turn around and pick up the dogs, which I did. I looked for weeks for their owners and searched everywhere but...luckily....they were meant to be mine. God blessed me greatly that day and for the next 12 years. Bean & Maggie were exceptional dogs. They were a little clingy (I never peed alone with out Maggie), Bean would cry if someone was walking him behind me, they definately still had their mama apron strings firmly attached.

Bio:
Bean was a great dog. Most thought he was a pup, even up until the day I put him to sleep. He was a beautiful, intelligent companion. He loved to play / attack Maggie and he always thought that he was top dog (but we all knew that Maggie was). He was not socialized with other dogs and tended to bite them out of fear. He usually would bite a dog on the side and just hang on. I miss him greatly. He passed away 11 months after Maggie. He had a brain tumor but I swear it was of a broken heart. I had Bean cremated and have him in with Maggie's ashes. Since they came together as a pair I thought that they should be kept together forever. I had him put to sleep on the same blanket that Maggie was...I treasure it like I treasure the memories of those two wonderful furkids.
