It's staying.....

Well, it has been a week and I have come to understand that the kitten is staying. The little guy runs around like a nut, like he is on drugs or something. At least he is not growling at me or jumping at me.
I understand he is a little guy but I think it would be a lot of fun chasing him. I nailed him this morning and he went tumbling - he was fine. Mom picked him up and loved on him. He didn't run away or anything. He is entertaining...

OY VEY!!!

I knew something was up. Well - it hit the fan. Mom brought home a tiny grey kitty. This thing may be small but you should see how he tries to puff himself up. At first he hissed at me and then he would growl when he came towards ME! I am trying to keep mom or dad between me and it but it comes around the corner unexpectedly sometimes. It is getting better though. He doesn't growl that much at me. I think he is harmless but I am not sure yet.

I deserve some points for trying. I let him sit against my back for a little while. That was until he started vibrating - that totally freaked me out!!

Somethings up....

It feels like something is going on. Mom and dad keep saying something about a little brother. Mom even brought home some crazy perch thing covered in carpeting. It is kinda like Namir's old condo. Maybe if I play with them more this whole thing would end?

Chasing flies

It finally cooled off...yah! Now I can comfortable chase flies around the living room.
Mom mentioned something about a new kitty soon...not too sure how I feel about that. If it is anything like Punk, the terror across the street, no thanks. I could handle another Namir - laid back.

I can't take this heat....luckily mom and dad got me a cool collar and I can wear it most of the day. The bummer part is that mom doesn't take me anywhere so I have been stuck in the house most of this past week. Please let it cool off soon!!!

Sorry it has been a long time....

A lot has happened in the past 9 months. First, my brother, Namir, is no longer with us. Mom and dad took him for a walk at the end of May and he never came home. I don't think he was feeling too well and his arm was pretty nasty, so I have a feeling he crossed over to the bridge. I know I will see him there when I cross. If it wasn't for the bird, it would be really quiet around here.
Mom and dad just took me on a long road trip. We saw grandma and grandpa and just when I was getting comfortable, two puppies showed up. Ugh. They just wanted to chase me around, I tried to avoid them. I liked it better when the little one left to go with his new mom and dad (my great grandparents). The white one remained though. She went with us to the mountains. I finally decided it was time to play with her but once I was interested she would run away. She was ok, except when she peed on my bed and my mat. Harmless little runt. I liked the mountains but when I sat in the sun I got covered in sap.
I am glad to be home and to continue my usual schedule: Dad gets up, I crawl back into bed with mom, mom gets up, I go outside, I go with mom to drop dad off in the city, mom and I go home, mom gives me some of her breakfast (usually eggs), mom gives me my kong stuffed with treats, I nap, I nap, I nap. Sometimes I go for a walk with Doug and Roxie or Robyn and Posha. I nap. Sometimes mom takes me to the dog park. I nap. I go with mom to get dad in the city and we come home. I watch mom cook. I help clean the dishes and then I get my food with fish flakes (of course). I got to bed but dad usually makes me come into the living room to lay with him. Then I go outside, come in and drink water and then I finally get to go to bed.
There have been talks of another puppy and now more recent talks of a kitty. I don't know how I feel about either. I like being the baby!

October in Oregon

I love Portland. It has been about 8 months since we moved up here. I have a deck with my cot on it and a big back yard with grass and lots of sticks. But my favorite part about out new house are the neighbors, Doug and Susan. I love to hang out with them and often cry when looking out the window at them. They also dog sit Sophie (yellow lab)and Cooper (labradoodle) and I love playing with them. Since mom is still unemployed we go to the dog park A LOT! I also have a neighborhood boyfriend named Gomez.

I started up agility again and it is so much fun. We are still level 1 but I get better every day. Mom plans to take me to a fun match sometime soon.

I also started talking...how you ask...well it more of a howl. I will talk back and forth with the bird and sometime just for the hell of it. Look at the video on top of the page:)

Check back with you later,

Its warm under the covers

I love getting under the covers. Especially in the morning when dad gets up. Mom lifts the cover for me and I crawl to the foot of the bed. Mom says I become dead to the world down there. The cat will sometimes visit me but usually stays on the side next to mom. So if you can't find me...you know where to look.

Sad the holidays are over

I am so sad that the "holiday" are over. Mom got to spend a lot of time with me but unfortunately dad had to work most of the time. I got sooo many treats and toys. I also gave my buddies some treats too. I got a blue and white collar with bells on it. I loved it, which suprised mom and dad since I don't really like loud things. I was proud to walk around with it because everyone knew I was coming. We also went to the park a lot (not with my bells though). I ran and ran and ran. We did have one agility class last week and I am getting use to the weave poles. We also started on the teeter-totter. I don't really mind the obstacles that much as long as mom gives me yummy treat. Mmmm treats (my Belly rubs treats (freeze dried chicken liver) are to me like donuts are to Homer).
Hope you have a great 2008!

Agility class

We just had our last agility class of the session. Boy do I love going to class but I don't get to run around with my friends like I do at the park. Mom was very proud of me because I picked everything up really quickly (except the tunnel, which eventually I did not mind). I even went through the tunnel and over a jump last class! Our next session starts next week - I can't wait.

One of the reasons I like it so much is becuase it is time I get to be with mom alone. She has been spending a lot of time with the cat and I get jealous. She said he has "cancer" . I don't see how it is so bad since he gets a ton of treats and now he is even getting wet food! I don't envy him when they wrap him up like a "kitty burrito" and shove a pill down his throat, though. I just eat mine with treats. Why does he have to be so difficult. Regardless, he is always sitting on her chest so I make myself comfortable between her legs. It is quite cozy during these cold winter nights. I think dad get a little jealous himself. Oh well.

Hope your all having a happy howlidays.
