Likes:
chicken livers and sweet things like donuts and candy

Best Tricks:

Arrival Story:
we never bought the newspaper but on 8/29/98 i decided to buy it. the lost and found section had an ad for a "dog found: tall, white, thin, posssibly a borzoi" so i called immediately. two days later i picked her up from the poeple who had found her running loose near kostner and belmont in chicago. they had put up flyers but no one claimed her.

Bio:
tina with us almost 4 1/2 years before she died from hemangiosarcoma. after she died i was determined to find who had bred her, and when her birthday was. i had a website created in her name and attached it to my email signature. i went down many blind alleys, chased down pictures and lineages, and spoke to dozens of people in the borzoi world. almost every single one was very kind and helpful. i decided to take down her website after the 5th anniversary of tinas death. one week before that anniversary, i got an email from a owman named janet. this led to the discovery that a woman in las vegas named jill had bred a borzoi litter born on thanksgiving day 1991. only one female survived. jill named her athena. she sold athena reluctantly to a girl named lisa, who trained athena to use the toilet and cooked for her. athena broke her leg because the food was not nutritionally balanced. lisa moved to chicago and married a cab driver from iraq. one day she called jill and said she was moving to iraq and giving athena away. jill never knew what happened to athena until she saw tinas website and recognized her. there are many links that prove tina was athena: the broken leg, the way she pooped, her appearance, and the fact that lisa lived only 4 miles from where tina was found on the street. 3 months before this discovery i adopted another female borzoi stray. she was found in the phoenix desert. i named her mischa. tinas mother was named meesha. so now i know that tina is saying from heaven, "here is another mystery girl for you. i will reveal my story to you now, so that you may finally move on and love her as you loved me." this year it will be 10 years since we adopted tina. now i know who tina was and where she came from. plus, i have made two wonderful new friends. thank you, tina, for being in my life. i will always love you.

tinas odd habits were hanging her nose off the front edge of her water bowl, licking the floor, and backing up to defecate. she had 3 cerclage wires in her right rear leg.
