My husband was driving past our old house and saw her near a trash can eating dirt and trash. He called her over and she ran right up to him and rolled onto her back to be pet. She was full of large scrapes, cuts, and sores. He put her in his truck and proceeded to run errands. She never moved from the front seat, but she did take a chunk out of his wooden console! He then took her to the animal shelter to make sure she didn't belong to anyone. We decided that we didn't need another dog but discussed the possibility that she wouldn't be adopted out. We couldn't stand to see her get put to sleep. When the shelter called to say she was not chosen as an adoptable dog because of her breed, we went to pick her up. She has been the most loving animal either of us has ever seen.
