I HAVE A HOME OF MY OWN!!

Guess what, everybody? I now have a home of my own, in Florida. My new mom Maria found me on the internet and after lots of emails, phone calls, and paperwork, she and my new dad Don were approved.

I had been with my foster parents, Jeff and Linda since September, and I loved them so much and they loved me, but theyhad so many dogs already, they thought I needed a place with fewer dogs and parents that could spend more time with me. So on Jan 13, I rode with Jeff and Linda to Milton, Florida and there at the Red Roof Inn I first met Maria and Don. They petted me and walked me and the next morning, Jeff and Linda hugged me lots and cried and cried ( I didn't understand why then) and then I got in and rode with Maria and Don to my new home near Tampa.

I was pretty scared at first because it was a new place, and I damaged some things because I didn't understand, and worst of all I chased their cats. So I got off to sort of a rough start, but Maria and Don love me very much and they are teaching me to be friends with the cats, and not to be scared anymore. Sometimes, I even get to sleep in their bed with them--I love them, too, and I know they are working really hard so all of us can get along.

There are lots of new and fun things to do, since I am in a city now, instead of the country. Soon, I will write and tell all about them and maybe Maria will help me post some new pictures.

Thank you, Phyllis, for rescuing me, thank you to all that helped transport me to Arkansas, thanks Jeff and Linda for fostering me and loving me so much for 4 months, and thanks Maria and Don for believing in me and loving me enough to overlook my "rough edges" . I love all of you, Shiloh
