Arrival Story:
My new Mom sprang me from the "evil pet-store." She had seen me twice before when she went in to get stuff for Carlos and the kittys. I hardly ever moved, she said. I just stared at the walls. When the other dogs barked and tried to get the attention of people who might buy them, I didn't make a sound. What was I thinking? I was very sad there. One day, "in a moment of insanity," she says, she took me home. Her doggie Carlos, a Chi-wa-wa whatever that means, had lived alone for three years, with only one cat to keep him company, and that's not saying much. (Mom has a new baby cat too, who gets along fine with me except I try to eat her) Carlos wasn't about to share his space with a glamorous ectomorph like me. He was growling and snapping at me for a week! Mom was afraid to leave us alone! Well, Carlos now plays with me for hours! I softened him up with my sweet little grey eyes. So now we are a family! I've never belonged to a family! Wow!

Today has been the most wonderful day. I think I actually found some meaning to life. I must become a therapy dog. I don't know how since I leave those thinking things up to mommy. I need to go to hospitals and have petting sessions. I love the people who have petted me today. They say I am beautiful. They are beautiful. So my Mom is off on a mission. How do I become a dog who goes to hospitals?

My human benefactress is of the mind that you can continue to change names to suit the personality throughout the entirety of a person (or dog's life). She herself has gone through several name changes in her day. She has added a few great names to my first name: Giselle. First off, I was not named for any model though I am a very model-like girl. The truth is she named me Giselle when she saw me staring from the tiny cage in the pet shop. Giselle is a tragic and sad Ballet. So she named me after a doomed female dancer. eek! Ghibli is a wind-- a dry hot dust bearing wind. The word means “the direction in which one turns" and in the Arab world would mean "Mecca". I think it would mean a kind of natural spiritual direction. Gigglygirl is a cute description of my personality. I think Goldie Hawn played a character by that name in an early movie-- Anyway that is the name she gave me completely-- except to add "Greyhound" to the end.

Okay, so she is now snuggling with Carlos the baby-cakes chihuahua. I want more dern-it. I am entitled dern-it. I first understood that today as I was being admired by the main people in this puppy dog store where I take my training. Ooh there is something wrong with me. Ooh I advance that there is something wrong with you all out there who expect greater things from this puppy-- you know i think people are like that too. My mom is a genious but she is not a "administrateive assistance type person." what the heck dose that mean?
