Snowshoeing - Backcountry style

Mom took me to Minaki with Luna and some of her human friends.
She was snowshoeing (we have been doing this a lot on her days off) and us dogs ran around on the lake and in the forest, it was great. Especially when we found something very large to chase and disappeared for 30 minutes baying like beagles.

We chased each other around a Yurt, which was great, since it is circular, and had a porch, so I could take a shortcut over the porch to try to jump on Luna from above.

I caught a field mouse, which mom threw in to the outhouse, and we got to sleep on a bunk bed before the rest of the humans came out to join her.

When the rest of the people showed up, they brought two more dogs, Delia and Merle. Merle is a 6 month old Husky cross, who didn't mind that I kept catching his tail and chewing on his leg. Luna and Delia kept getting into fights, but Delia is a bigger bitch (and older) than Luna, so she mostly won.

Mom was splitting wood, and Luna kept stealing the sticks, and we had a fantastic 3-day holiday.

Oh, I fell into the lake, where there was open water, but it was in the shallow marshy bits, and was not a big deal. Luna fell in too, and so did the other dogs, I guess we were just not listening when we were told to stay on the path.
