Arrival Story:
My sister's friend was transferred to the Dominican Republic and had to place all her animals. She had placed all but one, a pure bred red-headed beagle named Copper. She loved him so much that she wanted to find the perfect home for him. My sister mentioned that I had two rescue beagles already and told her to email me and ask if I could possibly take Copper. I told her to bring him over and I'd let me two decide whether or not they would let him in the pack. Copper came over and our two liked him just fine. He was very high energy but they did find him amusing so she left him overnight to make sure they would all be okay together. She called the next day and said that she knew he would be loved and well taken care of and be happy in our Beagle Pack and if we agreed to take him she'd be thrilled. I said yes. Copper became one of us that very minute. He's our Big Red Dog.

Bio:
Copper's best friend is our neighbors' dog, Bob. They wear each other out so much that Copper lazes around the house for days after we dogsit. Update: Bob's family went through some big changes and discovered they couldn't keep him anymore. We said Bob could stay with us till we found him a great home. He stayed with us for a month and a half because we were waiting for just the right family to be adopted by him. Bob now lives extremely happily in Geogia with his new Mom, Dad, and 2 adorable kids. They are all very happy, however Copper was mopey for weeks when he left. He would lay inside the doggie door and occasionally stick his head out to look for Bob. Fortunately, the neighbors kids keep his mind off of it.
