Arrival Story: There was a house down the street that refused to get their dogs fixed despite the fact that they had no intention of keeping the pups. One of their kids came over to show me one of their new litter before "Daddy gets rid of them." Let's just say that it didn't involve finding good homes for them. I went back to her house with her, got the puppies in a box and walked through the nieghborhood to find a home for every one...except one extra wiggly beagle boy. He was too energetic for anyone to choose, so he chose me. He's been my Boss Dog ever since. He's the Baskin to my Robbins. Bio: Gus has a lot of fatty tumors. They aren't cancerous but they are growing and unfortunately there is a pretty big one pressing down on some nerves in his spine. So far the worst side effect is some paralysis in his front right leg and facial paralysis on his left side. It hasn't slowed him down much and Mom keeps a clean rag handy to take care of some occasional drooling. The vet is hoping that a few more rounds of his meds and that might begin to clear up!
