Sophie died suddenly on the morning of Jan 4th. 2009
She had been her usually playful self. She ran out the back door to the yard. At the bottom of the steps she collapsed and was dead before I reached her.
She is buried on a friends farm, on a slope overlooking the fields and a pond with mountains in the background.
RIP my beautiful girl.
Your are deeply missed.

Well it looks like Sophie may win her battle with the Crypoccocis fungus. For 3 years her titre test stayed at 20,000/1
She had another 3 weeks ago and it is now down to 10/1. It looks like our goal of seeing it at 0 is now in sight.
It's been a long and very expensive journey but look like there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Sophie came through her surgery with flying colours and has been a model patient. Well up until last night that is. She had a bandage change on Thursday. She never touched the first one but this second one seemed to bother her and sure enought last evening she tore the whole thing off. So at 6:30 on a Sunday evening we were headed for the vets for a re bandage. Sophie also came home with the dreaded lamp shade to wear when she wasn't being watched. She however has been very good with this new bandage and doesn't touch it.
Good girl Sophie.
July 13th the bandage comes off permantly. Her incision looks very good. No sign of infection at all.
