anywhere outside... but she really doesn't like to go on long walks, she'd rather be inside on the couch curled up.

Best Tricks:
getting her to be calm when it's time to eat is a trick all by itself.

Arrival Story:
my brother found her downtown.. she was nearly starved to death (literally you could see every single bone). Not knowing what to do with her, he took her to the pound here (he didn't know our pound usually kills pits). He asked what would happen to her, and they told him the truth.. so he tried to get her back, but they wouldn't turn her back over to him. So he calls me.. and I happened to know the director of the pound at the time (she used to work for the vet that I took my other 2 to). I told her who I was, and she remembered that I already have a pit, and I would take care of her. I hadn't yet seen her, so I went up there and met her, and immediately started to cry just by seeing their "pit area".. they had so many beautiful pits in there, all who were going to be put down just because of their breed. Well Amber was by far in the worst condition.. along w/ being nearly starved to death, she had an embedded chain in her neck, and someone had cut her ears w/ garden shears... she also had many cuts and open wounds, one really large one on her neck... ANNND she (or flies, or fleas or all of the above) had chewed a good little bit of the meat off the end of her tail. And after all that... she was the most sweet and friendly dog I have ever met.

Bio:
Since she was starved, she really really had a hard time calming down when she was fed. It took her a while to realize that she's going to get fed every day now. She had a little food aggression, but we're still working on that. It's nothing that can't be fixed. And when I took her to the vet we found that she had heart worms and hook worms.. THEN since she wasn't gaining enough weight, we then found she had a nice tape worm!! She absolutely loves every person she meets, and they usually love her. I'm pretty sure she was fought, or a bait dog... because she doesn't like most dogs (other than Zeke and Asha). And I'm not sure of her birth date, so I just put in the day I brought her home.
