Guess what .. Today is Aunt Debs birfday !!! Mom talked to her earlier today and she is felling so-so .. but up and around... She got our pressie that we mailed but hasn't opened it yet .. she is waiting for this evening after they have her birfday dinner ... Mom and my other auntie are going to see her on the 18th of July for her birfday week-end.. ( mom told her its her birfday month ) !Moms taking crab meat and all to fix her a true Maryland crab cake dinner ! She had her last abdominal scan .. and the results say Unchanged ?? ummm???? wes not sure what dat means...( we fink good nooze) but she has to see another doctor cause now her leg is numb and very painful .. did we tell you she moved up on the transplant list .. #3 now ! we are getting closer... just hope dat blood clot doesn't cause anymore problems... well mom said she wanted to spend sometime wif her other than a hospital .. so dad will be in charge for a few nights ! Zippedoda .. Zippadeday ....oh , oh my ,what a wonderful day !!!.. Buttercup whistlin !!!! I can't pawlieve i was chosen as Julys RPOTM !!! for Tiny Paws Cruise Ship.. They asked me to write a wittle sumptin about myself and where i live So here it goes ....
As everyone knows i am a jersey girl rescue .. brought to Maryland to live the rest of my life as a princess .. which i am living very well ! .. Maryland is the states capital, ( a lot of history in small town Annapolis) home of the Naval Academy, surrounded by the Chesapeake Bay which supplies our fisherman , our crabbers and fellow oysterman! Guess you would say we are famous for our seafood, and its thats time of year again when you can get it all fresh ! I live between Annapolis and Baltimore about 25 min. either way .. ( very centrally located ) .. Washington is about a 40 min . train ride. Millersville where i am .. is just your typical suburban community .. but its a great place for a star like me to live with out being hassaled by the pupparassi *wink* .... I have no siblings .. so i get to spend my days at the Kamp .. which everyone knows is Miss Dixies house ... Its about 3 miles from me just in the next town ... I fink i am one spoiled maltese ! but mom sez i so deserve it and ya know what they say .. never argue wif mom !! she is always right !
So .. i fink thats about it about me .. i'll be taking pawtographes whenever .. !!!! Buttercup still whistlin.. zippadedoda .. zippadeday.. my oh my what a wonderful day !!!

Dis is gonna be a wittle unbelievable so sit down and get a dwink ... Mom and Dad always fink they see a wittle flash of sumptin white going down da hall , and dey always say " was dat buttercup'? so they come wookin fur me .. and nope it wasn't me ... so dey always say .." i fink Mr.Ted is bisitng again " Well yesterday mom was standing at her bed room door .. when she would have swore she saw me go behind da sofa in the living room .. ( which i neber do ) .. ... she eben went to the other side of the sofa and said " buttercup whats da matter .. you neber go behind da sofa... ( moms wooking from one side to the other side) .. no buttercup .. and while she was wooking she heard a sneeze... WHAT ! plus the light cord moved !! yeah i know .. was mom dwrinkin ??.. NOPE ..it was too earlier in da morning fur anyfing but coffee.. Maybe dem new coffee beans had sumptin in dem ! BOL !!! well after a hunt fur me i was found sound a sleep in the down stairs bathroom ... mom said ... " Wooks wike Mr. Ted was bisitng again ! Mom weally misses her Teddy Bumps .. but wooks wike his spirit is weally still wif us ...
so ya fink its strange right ?? well dis ebening after mom got home from work .. she takes me out in da back yard .. guess what .. dad comes out and sez.. ya not gonna believe dis .. but i would haf swore i saw buttercup go down da hallway , but i knew she was out wif you....
see now dey both might be crazy !! lol.. ! they are always saying .." Buttercup .. you and Mr. Ted would haf been a great pair ! ".. i fink Teddy is still wif us ! What do you fink???

Aunt Deb is amazing .. after a whole month in da hospital and nearly dying ... this past week-end she eben went out wif friends . Exhausted when she out back , but we all know how good getting out in da fresh air and sunshine makes ya feel !!! All dat vitamin D is so good fur ya..she sez she already hafs a sun tan ( from the liver not working .. but at least a sense of humor ) Her spirits are up at da moment and will be habing more abdominal scans done the 25th of this month ..Da transplant team moved her up to number 4 on da list ! Mom was all set to go to see her the end of the month but da air fare prices went up .. so she booked her trip for July 18 .. July 1 is Aunt Debs birfday and mom wanted to be there to help her celebrate , but dis way it can be her Birfday Month ! Yiippeee !!! Da family was hoping to do a lake house bacation .. but Aunt Deb finks it might be to much fur her now.. so mom sez .. well than it will have to be a girls day at da spa if you feeling up to it .. ya know a paw massage, facial, pawdicure .. ummm.. sounds like what da doctor ordered ! ! I'll be home wif Dad ... but he always takes me to da kamp fur play time .. so iz a happy pup too !

My mum is my agent and director since she controls the zealie account ! Aunt Deb has been habing a lot of pain in her left lung ( the one they drained of fluid) .. so she went to the pulmonary doctor today .. they x-rayed her and said the doctors punctured a muscle when they drained the fluid and they gave her a pain shot and sent her home ... we hope she gets a good nights rest ...She hasn't been able to eat because she has so much nausea , and is weak and very tired... She has an appointment on Monday June 8 with the transplant team for another evaluation .. so please if you have time to say a prayer for her .. it truly is going to take a miracle ... Buttercup with paws crossed!!!

First we want to honor our military today .. for all that they have given so we can live the land of the free.. Proud to be an American .. yep dats me .. !!! Happy Memorial Day !
Aunt Deb update... she went home from the hospital after a one months stay last Wednesday night .. she is so happy to be home and in her own bed but unfortunately her prognosis isn't good .. her records are being sent to Johns Hopkins Hospital for a second opinion so we pray for a miracle .. We again thank everyone for the continued support, prayers, rosettes, candles , friendship and love ... you all are the best ! We are trying to plan a family get together at one of her favorite spots in Georgia .. Lake Lanier ..we hope to go the end of June .. I will stay at the kamp .. woohoo a girls sleep ober !!! I'll have to let yas know fur sure so you can come ober to Miss Dixies house and we can haf one big PAWTY !!!

Prayers are so welcomed as Aunt Deb is a very sick gal ... she had to have more fluid drained from her lung today .. in a lot of pain and sedated so mom can't talk to her tonight .. they hope to some how with Gods will get her home this week-end .. i know she is desperate to get home to sleep in her own bed, see her kitty and have a look at her garden growing ... she will need some care when she goes home ... we wish mom could go be with her , but she can't just leave me & dad or be off from work for an extended period of time ... so she will be planning a visit again soon ... if anyone word like to send her a thinking of you card please pmail me .. mom would be happy to give you her addy ... OH How fun a card shower... !!! woohooo !!! dat would cheer her up !!! xoxoxo.. da cheering up Buttercup

Once again we can't Thank you all fur all the wonderful prayers, rosettes, candles, and just plain love and friendship that you have shown ... I gave mom & dad a huge scare .. my lower abdomen swelled in a matter of minutes and they had to rush me to the ER !!! Mom said wooks wike she is caring puppies .. YUK !! imagine dat !!! after test ( mom got the results ) all good news.. eberyfing wooked good ....no crystals in my urine , and blood levels all good... Dr. T checked me out and said my bladder and eberyfing was fine..Dr. T finks maybe my cardiologist ( Dr. Ferguson ) upped my lasix to much to help a persistent cough that i was habin ...( no more cough dats good ) i was dwinking tons of water and maybe not fully relieving myself ...or maybe i passed a small stone or sumptin .. so Dr. T backed off the lasix .. and so far so good ... we haf to check back in a week .. moms hopin i can get back to my normal dosage.. you should haf seen mom in her bathrobe and slippers at the ER .. they said we haf seen worse than that ... hehehe!! mom doesn't waste any time when it comes to me ... she wooked in da mirror and said .. OMD !! i fink i have a few hundred more gray hairs .... pretty soon wes gonna haf matchin hair color !! BOL !! Buttercup wif the happy tummy !

First i want to Fank all of you fur all the support and love that you haf given .. totally pawmazin ... Aunt Deb started a new shot that they hope will help to dissolve dis blood clot so she can move up the transplant list ... but wif it comes a lot of risk in her condition...they gave her the first injection yesterday and today my daddy was talking to her and she started to throw up ... not good news .. it was blood .. so they had to scope her esophagus and they had to band five varices... she has been resting the rest if the day ... her docs will re-evaluated .. and decide rather to continue treatment or not .. we fink she needs to get stronger and get a second opinion ... but mom sez she will support her in her decision ...Buttercup wif head bowed and paws crossed !!!

I neber relized how long three days were in doggie daze ... Dats a wong time to be wif out mom .. but dad did a pawsome job of taking care of me ,,, I saved tons of kisses and noseys fur mom ... we haf to catch up on all da lubins ! So heres da news on Aunt Deb ... when mom first saw her on Sat. she was on a full oxygen mask 100% and could barely speak .. but seeing her family was da best medicine .. when mom left dis morning she was down to 50% oxygen and they where getting her up out of bed.. for the first time in 17 days the docs could hear some air getting through her lungs and she ate a little lunch ... so each day there is improvement .. but the prognosis isn't good ... she can't get a transplant as long as she has this blood clot .. and typically this type of clot that she has isn't operable .... unless they can get it to dissolve ( which they don't give much hope) than it will be a matter of quality of time for her ... mom and her sistas say well dats only one opinion .. so they are getting her records transfered to Johns Hopkins Hospital fur a second opinion ... wes gonna keep praying fur a miracle .. we fank you all from the tip of our noses to da bottom of our toes fur all da prayers and good wishes ... mom printed off all the pups good wishes and took dem to Aunt Deb .. their was a tear in da eye and she sends her love and appreciation to all ... xoxoxo.. Happy Mothers day to my mommy ... Iz gonna miss her .. she is getting ready to go see my Aunty Debbie .. but iz not to worried .. ( ummm.. well maybe just a wittle) .. but my daddy will be in charge .. mom made dad get up at 5:30 dis morning to give me my pills and start my daily routine .. ( normally he sleeps through ) .. hehehe.. mom sez now he'll get to see what its like to have lack of sleep !! Dad pawmoises he'll take me to da kamp to see my pals while mom is gone so i don't get to depressed... We haf been waiting to give some good news but it wooks wike Aunt Deb could still use some prayers.. she is retaining fluid in the lung, abdomen and legs.. and oxygen levels weren't good ober da week-end.. they hope to tap some of dis fluid off her to make her more comfortable .. but its a very complicated wif all the drugs she is on and the liver disease now complicated wif da blood clot ... but they will do it as soon as they can .... she is a very sick lady ...we so appreciate all da prayers ... so if ya can keep 'em going we'd sure appreciate it !! Sure has been a long week fur my mommy .. she hasn't slept much but has been so thankful fur all da prayers my good pals have sent to Aunty Debbie , not to mention the rosettes , there are so many to Thank we can't begin .. so we will just say you all are PAWMAZIN !!!... Heres da latest ... she is retaining to much fluid so they have started her on Lasix by IV , and hope to do a procedure on Monday to see how her intestines are lookin , they started her today on some very light bland food to also see how her intestine would respond and so far so good... she says she still hafs pain but not as much , and did we say they haf moved her to a surgical floor....we take that as good news !! we assume these test will also let us know how da blood clot is .... we know its not gone , and are weally not sure what the next course of action will be ...we just take a day at a time ... da crummy doctors haf neber called back and my other aunty hafs called many times... but at least we can talk to her now that she isn't in ICU ... we will update soon as we can .. but if ya don't mind when you go to sleep please continue to say a prayer .. Mom got to speak to her and WOW !!! she sounds so much better than yesterday .... The POTP is mighty powerful !! Got her through the night .....She is getting blood thinner for the blood clot ... having some problems wif her heart and blood pressure, and does have some pneumonia in one lung .... she may be transfered tomorrow to Piedmont Transplant center for further treatment .. They are hoping that they don't have to operate for the clot ... We can't begin to Thank everyone for their gifts of prayer and candes lit . The rosettes are so sweet and endearing , but honest we were just praying for all the prayers !!.. You all are the best ..!!A special Thank You to Aunty Sally fur calling mom all the way across the ocean to check on my aunty .. and for Aunty Helen , and Aunty Colette fur checking in also ... We just want to THANK so many of you for all the love , support , prayers , candles lit and rosettes, for my Aunty Debbie. .. For those that don't know she needs a liver transplant due to Hep C that she contracted from a blood transfusion.... she only has about 15% of liver function ... she is on the liver transplant list in Atlanta Georgia Piedmont Hospital ,and has been number 6 on the list since Sept. of 08.... she will be 53 July 1 ...This crisis that she is in at this time is very critical ... she has developed a blood clot in the main artery that feeds her small intestine. Only two ways to treat it , blood thinners and surgery both options are very dangerous in her condition... she was started on blood thinners at Kennestone Hospital in Marrietta Georgia and the were able to get her some what stable and on morphine for the pain ... they are in touch with the transplant team and are hopeful to tranfer her today . If they have to operate the are hoping the would have a liver to transplant at the same time ...
She suffers daily with enormous pain , very difficult to eat and the liver not functioning causes OH SO MANY other physical problems that you have to endure on a daily bases.... We truly Thank each and everyone of you from the bottom of our hearts .. the POTP is amazing and your support is so appreciated !! We will keep you updated as we can ... I got to bisit my favorite Dr. T today .. i do alwot of shaking ..iz weally nerbous ... but hes weally nice and did i mention handsome too ! .. Iz been coughing a wot lately, and drinking much more than usual and mom wanted to make sure its not related to my heart issues ... I actually had a good check up .. I got to smile fur da camera again ..( flash , flash .. smile) ... opps its a chest x-ray sorry ... it showed not much change from the last picture taken in July....except a small possibility of cloudiness in my lung .. (the same spot as last time )...Dr. T finks its could be soft tissue or lymph nodes so he wants to eliminate allergies causing the coughing before messin wif my heart meds... so iz started on an antihistamine for the next three days .. if iz still coughing after three days than i have to go give some blood and leave a urine specimen and he will up my lasix .. if the cough still continues after that then i will see Dr. Ferguson my cardiologist sooner than we had hoped ... Mom is positive its allergies . Everything in Maryland is blooming , the grasses growing , and the wind blowing and rain raining ...

Adoption .... perceived through the eyes of a Maltese or any breed waiting on death row... this is my story and why its so important to give us a second chance at life. I'm not sure if i was dumped , or i ran away , those memories are gone from my mind ... but lost wondering on the streets in busy Philadelphia isn't. All sounds are scary , cars , trucks, sirens, night sounds,OH the thunder is horrendous .. looking for your next meal on the streets can really take some creativity and cause long lasting tummy problems. Then i am found .. shoo0.. thank goodness i was really getting tired, but its what happens next that is the scariest. Its a high kill shelter where every pup is frightened all barking for food, attention, love, a warm bed and a big heart to love you . You wait , and wait , hoping that you will be the chosen one and the right family doesn't come , you find yourself in the euthanizing room wondering why is this happening to me ....I have so much love to give won't someone give me a second chance ? ... when ANNIE TRINKLE OF ANIMAL ALLIANCE SHOWS UP and my life is forever changed !!!! I am in my foster home...I am loved, cleaned , feed, have a good vet check up , my painful teeth are removed, and i am spayed ,yes i am loved, kept warm and safe till my forever family comes to get me ! I am at peace , no more worries EVER and then the day comes my forever mom and dad have found me , I am finally home !!! Adoption is the only way to go ..this is the story for so many other lost or unwanted pups, or pups that family situations have changed, they have so much love to give .. why not give them the second chance that they so deserve.We are forever grateful , loving companions.The kisses we give are endless,the love we give endless, the trust endless, the devotion endless.... My good friend CoCo Beans mom( Terry) has shown that to me over and over by her love and devotion to rescuing and fostering pups til they find their forever home just like i found mine . Coco Beans mom works with.. http://www.shihtzurescue.us in Indiana... She is the only foster home for this rescue, although she also works with the local pound. She has fostered three Shih tzu's Kobe, Holly, and is working with placing Lily at this time . Her love for animals is an inspiration . My mom hopes that one day when she is not working the real 9-5 job that she can follow in CoCo Beans moms footsteps and rescue and foster also ! What a fulfilling , fun occupation ! ADOPT.... Chin up , profile , sit , stay , lay .... oh the pressure of being a fashion statement .... so mom sent da nice lady " JANICE".. my photos to say fanks so much .. and wook how cute.. well it landed me a spot on her ebay account !!! My good furiend Duncan passed over the bridge very unexpectedly .. Its been a very few sad days here on Dogster and we know only to well the pain his family is feeling at this time ... The dogster community is amazing ... and we all hope that with our love and support in some small way it will help his family during this most difficult time ... I leave you with my favorite poem

WOWS ! what a way to start my day .. a great breakfast ,alweady fur my walk when company arrives... sumptin in a carrier ..is it a pressie fur me ??? unzip .. and YIKES !!!! out came this honey colored ball of fuzz dats moves all ober da place !!! OH MOM pleezzee tell me its not stayin ... Mom explains .. Buttercupi this is your new fur cousin " SCOOTER" .. DON'T WORRY HES JUST HERE FOR A LITTLE VISIT ... fank dogness.. his sniffin all my stuff .. on my princess pillow , taking up my mommys lap ... but haf to admit he is weally smart and cute... eben goes out to do his duties and knows his name alweady ... iz counting the hours til his mommy gets back .. did i mention i neber got my morning walk .. ummpf .. !!!!! pay backs .. i snitted him and let him know iz not happy !

Ummm..... i should haf known sumptin was up .. Tuesday night mom gave me a wittle trim up , than this morning i get thrown in da tub ... it wasn't to bad .. i eben got warmed towels from da dryer !!! Next i get all fluffed and buffed .. eben my teefs brushed .. ummm.... whats up wif all dat ??? Mom gets my bow in my hair .. my pretty collar on and off we go.. i'm finking i must be going shoppin or sumptin ... WRONG !!!... Mom sez wes going to see Dr. Ferguson my cardiologist!!! So heres the pup date.. my weight is the same , my heart is stable , blood pressure good... the echo cardiogram showed my mitral valve leaking just about the same , the heart measured a little bit smaller but the best news is that it isn't any bigger, which is our goal to maintain ,because there is no cure for congestive heart failure but to maintain and not get any worse.. my blood work was good .. and for the first time eber no crystals in my urine.. yahooiieee we were so happy !!! Dr. Ferguson said my kidney functions looked great so the medication isn't effecting my kidneys.. so it was a GREAT weport !!! We see him back in 10 months to a year .. unless mom sees sum sort of a change .... we see Dr. T in 5 months for a chest x-ray and more blood work to monitor everything .... iz exhausted this evening ..... but so happy for a good weport !

Today is 5 years since our Teddy passed over the bridge and we wanted to pay a tribute to him .. Teddy its hard to believe its been five years since you left us for the bridge.. but never in our hearts ! We miss you ... we kiss your box in the morning and at bed time , your St. Francis medal is on top of your box to protect you ,you still rest on our head board with our Angel Reggie ... Mom sez it must be freaky friday .... ,everyone knows how i get mom up in da middle of the night for a potty break .. well, mom NEVER ! I mean NEVER lets me out specially in da middle of the night wif out going wif me .. so its 4 degrees or sumptin crazy like dat out .. and mom is all bundled up .. ( don't know why.. its refreshin to me ) ... and just as i get my special spot . i hear .. CREEK ... mom sez .. hurry its okay its cold .. than from the udder side of the house there is a louder CREEK !!! and than the side gate clangs !! a SREEECHHHH , and a long black sumptin shoots across the yard wif a cat in tow ... and i dart after them .. mom drops her blankie dat she is all covered up in ,runs out of her bedroom slippers to catch me .. SNATCHES me up and takes me back up stairs wif dad in bed!! SCARED da Bejesus out of mom .. ummpff.. so she thought that was enough .. she decides she has to go back out and check the side gate ... so she wraps back up in her blankie and goes out .. closes and locks the gate ... and coming back .. she hears CREEK !!! a tree limb crackes to da ground wif a kitty attached ,screeches !! .. and takes off into da woods !! YIKES !!!! Now how is a mom supposed to get back to sleep after all dat excitiment .. I had no problem ... ZZZZZZ"SSSSS !!!!!

My fur cousin Lopey who is a Shitzu and fifteen was out wif her mommy and daddy last night fur a walk .. they came up to a Lab mix on a leash .. and da lab attacked her .. Lopeys daddy had to grab da lab by da collar and punch him in the face to drop her.. poor Lopey had to go to da emergency vet, she was bleeding from da nose ..They checked her out and said she was okay , but this morning she was habin trouble breathing ( lots of mucus from da nose) so she went to her regular vet.. He said she was very badly bruised around da nose and eyes .. and pretty sore all over.. he gave her meds fur da pain and an antibiotic ..he said she probably has dried up blood in da nose and its better to let it work its way out ... but if she doesn't improve by tomorrow than they will have to put her to sleep to xray da nose to make sure nuffin is broken .... so when you go to sleep tonight pawlease say a prayer for Lopey ... you can see her page ...http://www.dogster.com/dogs/401935.. Da hustle and bustle of Christmas oh what fun !!! I get to sniff all da packages and give my paws up approval !! I haf to fank The Adairs fur my darlin snowman ( mom wished she would haf gotten da video of when i opening it ) I just wuv it ... and Gilbert & Buster , I can't wait to sport my new harness ( the latest in canine fashion for da spring .. you gonna be jealous ) Dem Boyzz , fanks to you i alweady got my Santa hat fur next year .. and mom wuvs her shawl ! and Raja 's mom hand knitted me the most bootiful pale pink scarf wif pearls .. Oh i just wuv it !...and Gizmo the Great .. I wuv my new Christmas bandanne and all da bows that fit on my collar or my hair are so bootiful .. and my snuzzly bear .. WOWS ! I awoke today ... to be very saddened by the news of my dear pal and friend " Crumpet " being attacked ... she went to the bridge today ... she's now an angel ...I am deeply saddened and my heart aches for Crumpets family ... My secretary is a wittle late .. but i had my follow up bisit wif Dr. T last week ... It was GOOD !!! My lungs were clear, so no x-rays.... and my blood test came back good .. One of my kidney values was slightly elevated but nuffin serious , just sumptin we haf to watch .. so GOOD NOOZE !! .. we see him back in three months for another recheck unless sumptin else shows up .. da new medication seems to be helping lots wif my congestive heart problems.. i normally cough alot in da morning .. and if i'm excitied or do a lot of barking .. but i can go up and down da steps and on and off the furniture now wif out coughing .. so thats good nooze !!! We fank everyfluff for all da prayers and good wishes !! Dem are mighty powerful prayers !! We wuv ya all .. and wish each and everyone of you a most glorious holiday much health and happiness in the New Year !

So heres da story .. Iz been coughing lately and mom being da detective that she is wisked me off to Dr. Ferguson my cardiologist ... So dis is what he said..My heart murmur is a grade three.. My mitral valve is leaking.. the bottom left side of my heart is my ventricle.. and the top left side is the atrium .. in between is da mitral valve that is leaking ... causing blood to back wash into the atrium instead of going through the aorta... this causes fluid thats in our blood naturally to be pushed into the upper part of my lung .. ( hence Congestive heart failure) .... and causes the atrium to become enlarged which presses on my windpipe .. hence " Cough " !! But don't worry .. cause Dr. Fuerguson says hes gonna fix it .. yep .. new heart meds is gonna redirect the blood to go in the right direction " out da aorta ".. dem some smart drugs .. Now no drugs go wif out some sort of side effect .. so i will haf to have extra blood work to monitor things ... Dr. Ferguson sez i can still go fur walks .. and play at day care .. just no real stressful situations ... So i fink i'll weally get all da Royal treatment ... ummpf..... i wasn't feelin like myself westerday or today and i was supposed to get the rest of my vaccines.. so off mom takes me to Dr. T's and she hafs to tell him how i was acting and had to mention that i was doing more coughing than usual , so he takes a listen to me .. and sez.. ummmm..... i fink we need a set of pictures.. Well, i know iz a star right .. so i smiled weal pretty .. !!! Now heres da nooze ...mommy wasn't imagining the extra coughing iz been doing.. i have a small amount of fluid in the top part of my lung ... OH NO !!! now i haf to haf a wittle lasix .. and haf to get back to da cardiologist for another echo ....and Dr. T in two weeks to evaluate my kidney function ... so todays bisit was good nooze bad nooze .. good nooze no shot ... bad nooze new meds ! Will keep yas posted after the bisit to da cardiologist !!... ummmpf !!!

Its hard to believe that four years have passed since we found you . It seems like yesterday in one way and in another it seems like we have had you since you were a puppy. I remember so well .. We had lost your brothers Teddy and Reggie .. and it had been 8 months since we had the pitter patter of little paws in the house or the privilege of hearing the sound of a bark ! I had been looking endlessly on Petfinder for the right baby to rescue.. We applied for three other pups prior to you and we were turned down on all three... can you believe that ! I was in tears .. and was thinking .. how do people adopt real babies.. they go through so much to find out they didn't get the chosen love one.. after getting turned down on the third one .. i said to dad.. thats it, no more.. Guess we just aren't meant to have another dog right now.. I was very sad .. but by Sunday of that week .. i was back at it .. looking again !! .. I saw your little face and yelled.. COME QUICK ... look at this baby !!! Dad took a look and said hurry , quick fill out the application ... Your eyes were empty .. and you had such a sad look on your face .. . i typed as fast as i could and hit the submit button... we waited all the next week and no word.... your dads Birthday is the 19 and we kept saying all week ..maybe we'll hear on your birthday .. but no word ...I got home from work on the 19th .. and the light was flashing on the answer machine ... """ Is this Pat .. This is Animal Alliance calling .. you have been selected to adopt Buttercup .. but you must call asap !! I was so excited and afraid you were gone because i didn't know when they had left the message.. I dialed the phone and Diane Hutton .. answered! She said you must come tomorrow and get her .. I said .. OH MY ... i have to work the rest of the week can you keep her til Sat. .. She said , NO ..we really can't .. I begged .. and pleaded .. so Diane said let me make a call and i'll call you back !! BINGO !!! it was a done deal.. Sat. Dad and i set off to bring you to your forever home ! We knew that we would change your life forever .. but its our lives that have been changed !!! What a gift you have given us ... you are our sunshine, joy , the love of our lives .. My day started wif mommy and daddy singing " Happy Birfday to Me' ... I covered my ears wif my paws .. and said geeze dis early in da morning, do i haf to listen to dis off tune song . BOL !!! I had my usual breakfast and out fur my morning walk .... ... mom kept talking bout da baf fing ,. than said well dats not a berry nice present is it .. ?? I wooked adoringly into her eyes and she knew what I meant ..well NO not really !! Dodged dat bullet.. but mom said well you haf to at least get brushed .. so i sat like a wittle angel while she got my all brushed out and meticulously place one of my new bows in my hair ...Off we go to da kamp ... i proceeded to scratch da bow right out of my hair which went flying across da car ! LOL !! I got extra cookies at da kamp and all da attention today .. well it is my day right ?? Mom got home a wittle early and when we pulled into da driveway .. there was a box on the front steps from my GIZZ!!! Oh he just spoils me .. two bootiful new sweaters , a new coat , a new toy .. and a cute howl- lo- ween collar !!! we got pics , but it might take mom a few days to get them on my page ! Then my secretary finally gets to my mail .. OH MY DOG !! soo many to thank .. so much love, and pressies left on my page ... I just want to Fank everyfluff fur making my Gotcha Day so special !! Nappin ever so peacefully when all of da sudden .. mom sez" wanna go" .. well thats all i heard anyways .. " so up me jumps weady to go anywhere .. tail waggin ... otay than mom sez.. wets go potty first .. so wike a good girl ,out i run to go potty .. very excitied to be goin in da car!!! I'm finking yippeee.. goin to da kamp to see my pals .. nope .. WRONG .. i find myself shakin in da vets office fur my yearly exam !!! Iz not a happy girl .. won't wook mom in da eye at all.. but heres da low down ... I have kept my girlish figure ... still a steady 11 lbs. ... yippeee , my pawkini will still fit me this summer ! . my heart murmur is unchange ..woohoooo thats good nooze!!! mom thought i only had my bottom front teefs and one up top but found out i still haf one back molar which she wished dey had pulled at my last dental ...( easy fur her to say ) my eyes are clear .. ears good .... no tenderness in my tummy area ..really good... so i passed wif flying colors.. and what was my reward ????? A DUMB OLE SHOT !! ... UMPF!!!! and i haf to go back in three weeks to get another one.. mom neber gives me da rabies and distemper shots all together !!! Hehehe... My new Uncle Geffory came to bisit .... he had heard so much about me from da west of da family ... saw my Dogster page ...and couldn't wait to meet da infamous " Buttercup" ... well, not to mention i wasn't in da most glamorous condition , you know my fur coat all white, blown out and fluffy , he was taken my natural beauty , smitten wif my good looks and wunnerful behavior ....Oh ! Today started out to be a great day ..sunny , cool , breezey ... when i was begging mom fur a tweat .. so she gave me my usual cookie .. broken into four pieces ( since my molars are gone) ... the first two pieces were yummy .. but da next one got stuck in my throat !!! Mom did the usual fings ..like put her finger in my mouth .. ( eben got a wittle piece out ) rubbin my throat.. eben gave me some yogurt ... but i kept coughin and chokin !! I would seem otay .. then it would start all ober again, coughing and choking.. finally mom noticed that i was whistlin out of my nose ..and she said nope this isn't wite..Dad said .. lets go to da Emergency vets .. mom sez thats 1/2 hr. away .. so in her jammies and all, her and dad rushed me ober to Momma Frans( Mdm's)..Mom was praying to St. Francis, but I got much worse in da car .. and by the time they got me there ( 3 miles) .. my tongue was blue , i was stiff.. and my eyes were not focusin!!! Momma Fran said wait !!! .... let me see.... she twyed the finger in my mouth fing .. and nope .. she put peanut butter on a piece of bread .. and .. SHHHHHHHHOOOOO.... i could breathe .. so alittle more bread wif peanut butter.. than some peanut butter on her finger .... woohooo !!!! I neber had peanut butter before cause of all my tummy issues .. Moms in tears !!! Would someone pawlease let me out .. so out me goes .. comes in and rolls all ober my back , gets a big dwink .. gives mom all da tisses .... I's home now .. westing on da sofa !!! Moms still a nervous weck .. keepin one eye on me at all times ! Fank you Momma Fran fur saving my life .. mom is forever grateful .. and to St. Francis !!! Mom was in a tail spin ober my dental .. so shes just getting awound to letting ya all know about her twip to meet Gizmo da Great !!! .. WOWS !! mom told me he is a wiggler and weally has a "BARK" fur a wittle guy !!! He weally is on duty .. specially when other pups come awound !!! I fink hes just saying hellwo !!! you know the maltese way !!!
They meet at Talcott State park .. west of Hartford Ct. .. good thing Gizmos mom had a GPS .. or my mom & dad would still be on da wrong side of da mountain !! It was a bootiful view from da top .. and there was an extra bonus .. there where hang gliders !! They had a gweat walk through some trails .. and Gizz's mom brought a wunnerful picnic lunch fur everyone.. Did i tell you mom got to meet Gizz's sister .. Cindy Luo .. and his weal brudder Jacob !! Oh it was a wunnerful day !! and Gizz .. gave me the most darling wain jacket , and two new leashes !! WOWS !!!
Mom had a prize fur them too .. a friend of moms is an artist .. and she did a water color portrait of Gizz ! We fink they will cherish it for a lifetime !

Then theres a BONUS !!!!! When they were coming home .. mom said wunner how far RAJA is off the turnpike .. you guessed it .. only 20 min. so they made a wittle detour and got to meet Raja da twaveler and his wunnerful mom Helen !! Such a gracious host .. she made mom and dad they most wunnerful lunch ... and of course Raja .. was the pawfect king on his throne .. mom eben got to help Raja wif his lunch !! he ate all that she hand feed him !!! LOL ! They sent mom home wif a darling yellow elephant fur me !!! I hope one day i will get to meet Gizmo & Raja .. but they will haf to twavel to me.. i love the car .. but only to my favorite spots !!!

Okay .. so this morning i wake up all cheery and give out my normal kisses and noseys .. and what " NO BREAKFAST " .. whats wif that ... Mom made me stay in bed til 7:15 .. when she scooped me up, made me go potty .. and dumped me at Dr. T's.. ummmpf !!! She eben stopped and picked up donuts fur da staff.. was i eben offered anyfing .. ummmpf !!! Not going to be da best day in Dogville !!! Well .. heres the story .. i got my teefs cleaned . i didn't have many but mom knew da back ones were nasty .. so out they came ... and no more dentals fur me.. I only have 7 left .. 6 on the bottom front .. and one up top .. so mom can keep those brushed wif no problem !!! I drank alittle when i got home and went right out and pottied... but not interested in much of anything else !!! Hopefully i'll feel much better tomorrow ... i's westin wif my daddy .. when i 's not feeling good his my savior !!! My last snack is at 9:00 p.m. dis evening .. yikes... .no midnight snacks no water .. ummpf !!! Mom finks i haven't been listening .. but i have and i'm not happy !!! I had my blood taken yesterday for pre-op benefits .. and dis morning mom got a call from Dr. T .. one of my kidney values was a little elevated ... so mom had to collect urine so he could get a concentration level... what does this all mean .. well mom talked wif Dr. T and he says .. my concentration for an afternoon draw was pretty good ! yipppeee... but my bun value was alittle elevated... not that it means i have a kidney issue going on .. but something we will be watching over time..it also let him know that i will need iv therapy during the procedure .. it will allow him to give me some additional fluids ... and i have to have antibiotics for my enlarged heart and heart murmur !!! So any and all prayers will be so appreciated ... say a few for mom .. cause she will be a nervous wreck .. til i'm back to being my ole self !!! Kisses to my dogster pals !!!

Hehehe .. well me went to Dr.T's today to get my blood work done fur my dental which was to be done tomorrow ... Mom told him i had been coughing on & off all week-end .. you know that kind of gag coughing that we wittle ones do and i haf been doin alot of panting .. so after pushin and probing on me throat and he got me to cough .. he sez my trachea is inflammed .... he wistened weally good to my heart murmur .. and didn't wike the way it sounded so Dr. T said lets get you pawtographed ! .. I fluffed my fur all out finking i was gonna be posing for Dogmopolitian .. when .. ummpfff.. it was my heart they were pawtographing ! Just wike Dr. Furgeson said ( my cardiologist) .. my heart is weally enlarging on the right side !!! So Dr.T said no teefs cleaning for you .. not just yet.. He wants me to be in tip top shape before he hafs to put me under ... so dem pearly whites will haf to wait .. Mom told him the last few days the cough is better ...so wes gonna give it another day or two before we start antibotics .. if i still am not my self than i will see Dr. Furgeson back ... and probably haf to get on heart meds sooner than they thought !! I dodged da bullet fur tomorrow .. now mom can i have my midnight snack back !! Pawlease !!..

Today .. mommy took me to see Dr. Ferguson.. he treats all doggies that haf heart problems..( cardiologist) This was my routine check-up .. cause i haf a murmur ( i thought that was sumptin kittys do .. oh thats purr-purr BOL ! ) well anyways ... i haf to get my teefs cleaned so i had to get a clearance for anesthesia.. We haf good nooze and bad nooze!! Heres da bad nooze first .. My heart has enlarged from my mitral valve not working right ... but da good nooze is its not bad enough fur medication just yet .. I haf to see Dr. Ferguson again in 6-8 months and he sez by than i will probably haf to start some medication .. he doesn't want to start to early because it can haf side effects on da kidneys .. so thats da good nooze.... !!!!! If i start coughing alot or panting alot than i have to see my Dr. T for chest x-rays to make sure i'm not getting any fluid in da lungs .. but right now they are just fine !!!! Now, da other bad nooze .. is .. I haf to get my teefs cleaned ... Dr. Ferguson sez da bacteria is not good fur my heart .. so Mom sez .. we have to get on Dr. T's schedule fur teef cleaning .. yiiikkkeess !! mom just hates it .. !! so we will let everyfur know when its gonna be .. so you can send prayers fur mom !! she gets more nervous than me!!! LOL !!!

My good pal Raja da twaveler suggested that i contact my pal Mischief fur a special weading of the Tarot cards... soo i wang up me pal and she was soo kind to gib me a weading .. I asked if my BF Gizmo da Great and i will weally get along when we finally get to meet .. I alweady knew we would ..but sometimes i can be weally shy ..and hide .. but according to Madam Mischief this is what she sez....
My first thought was you might be a little scared with the Gizz's wheels but I think you'll be ok. Miss Dixie has them now and since you go to camp with them you'll be use to them by the time you meet Gizz. Once you meet Gizz you'll be so comfortable with the wheels you'll be excited to see him. You're both sweet pups and I think you will get along great.

UMMMPF !!!! Mom said i was habing company today .. i fought my furbling cousins girls were coming ober .. when to my surprise it was a 2 legged furless six year old .. yikes !!!! .. well at first me thought well this might not be too bad .... he wooks kind of cute, smells good , is berry gentle , could count on belly rubs extra tweats .... but than he got weal comfortable and decided i was the next best fing to pudding !! He was infatuated wif me face ...and after a while enough alweady .. so under da bed i went .. then he thought it was a game of hide and seek .. well .. me fooled him i wasn't coming out for nuffin ... Mom finally took me to da kamp and they went to da movies ... shooo,,... i needed a break !! and to make it worse there were no extra tweats after all !! Hummpf !!! Hey everyfur .. dem paw prayers are weally powerful cause mes all back to my ole self .... but we still kept our appt. wif Dr. T. I did my usually panting and shaking wike i'm weally afraid .. (sewectly i weally wuv him ..bol !) .. Hes weally cute too ! I pranced wite up on da scale while mom was holding her breafh .. and fank dogness my girless figure is still da same .. matter of fact 2 ounces less .. Dr. T is a stickler fur da weight !!! I got a good check up ... but i do have some gingivitis starting at da gums .. so i haf to see da cardiologist .... than i can schedule fur my toof cleanins !!! Mom eben brushed me teefs tonight , but only da front ones .. we haf to start wif dem .. than maybe i'll let her do da ones in da back ... wes hopeful i can get used to it ! I weally haf not been myself des last couple of days .... i's been doing awot of panting and there isn't eben any storms .... so mom sez .. whats up wif dat ???.. than dis morning Mom finks maybe she figured it out .. she got a good wook in my mouth .. and YIKES!! .. wooks wike i haf a few inflamed spots at the gum line on a few of my back molars ....So mes off to see Dr. T .. but not til Wednesday ...He is off on Mondays .. but dey will call mom if dey haf a cancellation on Tuesday . He knows me and all my tummy issues da best ..Wes hoping he will gib me an antibotic to ease da inflammation ... Wast night mom decided to lay down and take a wittle nap before bed.... i haf to get my night time medswite.. well she told dad to wake her up by 9:00 p.m. so she could gib me my meds ....... Da storms were coming ( which i don't wike at all ) and i was sensing dem .. so i was kind of panting ober mom .. she jumps up and sez what time is it ... 9:05 .. yikes .. gotta get Buttercup her meds... Mom wuns up stairs and get me my three wittle meatballs ( one hafs da pill in it ) .. brings dem to da Princess .. and out i go fur da potty before da storms jit .... when Mom wealizes what she did .. YIKES !!!!! i gave her da morning pill instead of the ebening one !! YIKES !!!! Mom was so upset .. and was worring dat she ober medicated me .... so wif one eye on me all night ... we get up dis morning .. and guess what mom found ..... my morning pill at da foot of da bed !!!Mom gibs me da morning pill in da bed I spit it out wif out her knowing !! ( hehehe) .. so mom lost a whole nights seep worring fur nuffin !!!! Da meds were all mixed up .. but wes back on track tonight ...has any other mom eber done dis .. mom sez next time she'll be sure she's weally awake before she gibs me my meds !!! Geeze ... maybe i need to get new home health care nurse...BOL !!!

My Babche ( grandma in polish) is in St. Josephs nursing home.... I always go wif mom to bisit her .. but i got a call from da activities director , a nice wady named Sharon .. she said i had a special invitation ... that several of da wadies had been asking fur me !!! Mom had da flu so we hadn't been to see Babche in 3 weeks.. da flu left mom wif a nasty cold and mom didn't want to take any germs .... so we went today .... da wadies were all so happy to see me ... Mom got some gweat pics... da wadies might be in da wheel chairs .. but let me just tell you they gots some strong hands.. dey didn't want to let me go ... i eben gave only lady a wittle kiss on the chin... dey were all so happy and it made me feel so good to bring a wittle bit of sunshine to their day !! Mrs. Margaret eben sang da easter bonnet song to me .. we gave her a stand pawvation !!! So now mes sleepin in my favorite spot on da sofa .. WOWS it was a busy afternoon !!!! Yahooiieee.. our dear Little Bella Paige was found and returned home safely to her mommy & daddy !!! The power of the paw !!! Amazing ,the heartfelt compassion that the STAFU group surrounds their members with is amazing. It is the most compassionate group on dogster .... !!!!! Our February STAFU DOTM, Bella Paige is missing. We are all so heartbroken over this. She is a wonderful and supportive pup and her mother Annette is sick with worry, as are we all. This is what she said:

Hi everyone this is Bella's Mom.
This evening when I went out to dinner with my best friend I recieved a phone call that Bella was missing from my mothers house in Orange. I Rushed back to her house while she went around the neighborhood calling her name. I searched and searched all over the neighborhood for about 2 hrs and didnt find her.
She does have her tags on with my phone # to call.
I am soo destryed right now I dont know what to do.
I ask you all to please PLEASE pray for Bella's Return home and her safety. I am terrified and I dont know what to do, I am about to lose my mind.
She is my world and my pride and joy and I cant live with out her.
If you all can please pray for her to return home I would be soo thankful.
STAFU Prayers work.. and I really REALLY need a huge one guys!
Please help me in prayin for my sweet Baby to return home.

Gizz weally surprised me wif a new 55 Chevy convertible !!! off we go to the sounds of " Cruisen" , we stop off at the fountain for a soda and Gizz gave me the most bootyful flower fur my hair ...... than we cruise awong awitttle farther when he stops and carves " I Love You" in the most amazin twee....... than we are off to the woller skating wink after a stop at the Chez Zee Restaurant for a wittle desert !!! Wows .... he sure knows how to win a gals heart...... Our next adventure is in his snowmobile .. he's got the shiftin down pat... so wes off ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ !!!!!!!!!!!

WOWS .. a brand New Year wite before us !!!! and i had the biggest surprise eber !!! Well... i had to turn my crown ober to the marvelous "Sienna " of PDPC .... i was Royal dog of the year fur 2007 .. and now Sienna gets to wear the crown fur a whole year !!!! I was sad and then today when me secretary got time to check my mail .. OMGOSH !!!!! I was DOTM fur Tiny Paws Cruise Line II !!!!! I was truly shocked and so honored !!! WOWSERS !!! ..the first pup fur the New Year !! gotta get me suit cases out .. wooks like me gonna be doin wots of cruisin this winter ..... heck i'm in Miami alweady .. check it out .. Me and Gizz on the beach in Miami ... wes had enough of the white stuff alweady ... ( well Gizz has had awot in Conn. ) so he wescued me and off we flew to Miami !!! MAWH !!!! Check it out !!!

WOW!!!!! I got a whole box full of goodies from my sweetest pals, Crumpet ( a bootyful Maltese ) and her brudders , Kipper and Winston ( bottyful TZU"S) !!!! OMGOSH !!! This will be my third Thanksgiving with my forever family . I have so many things to be thankful for , I have a wonderful home, i get to go to Kamp Archies everyday ,i neber have to be by myself, i have a warm bed , i own the sofa ( BOL ) .... i have pwenty to eat .. more toys than pet smart , a great vet to take care of me when i sick .... its my world and mom and dad wive in it wif me !!! Wows .. its been a gweat day .. First i found out i won for Howl-o-ween page of the month in the Tiny Paws Cruise group .... yiiippppeee !! i am still in shock !! than i got all dwessed fur the big night .. when i wealized that dad was runnin interference wif my fun !!! can you pawlieve that !! hes sitting at the end of the driveway handin out the candy to the wittle ones ..... and me all dwessed stuck at the door to howl from the inside !!!! Geeezzeee .. but don't worry i did awot of runnin up and down steps to let 'em know to take a wook at me through the door !!! Then i pwayed a fun game wif me pals at STAFU .. i guessed the ghost that bisited me earlier in the day !!! Tomorrow is a big day .... i am the reigning DOTM for STAFU( the first non" TZU" to be choosen ) and i get to announce the new DOTM .. YAHOOOIIEEEE !!!! ITS MES BIRDAY !!!! Yep three years ago i found my foreber home ... or rather my foreber home found me ... just 4 days after my daddys birfday !!! Wes both Libras .. and its true wes bof are werry laid back and easy goin !!! Well .. first i want to fank Bear for making me my birfday picture and for Duffy for sendin me a bootyful card ... My Gizmo sent me a special card too .. wows .. it weally makes a girl wag her tail !!! I got so many wosettes, stars and well wishes from all my pals at STAFU , PDPC and TINY PAWS .... they are my extended family .. always there to cheer ya on and always there to lend an ear and support !!! I didn't get any special pressies cause my best gift is my forever home , not to mention my toy basket is ober flowing !!!! and wif my tummy issues me can't hab cake or ice cream .... so mom just stuck to my normal daily routine .. but sung Happy Birfday to me many times, gave me wots of belly rubs and kisses....hey .. is my birfday eberyday ???? Wahooiieee !!! mes got a clean bill of health !!! Dr. T sez what eber mom is doin to keep it up !!! My crystals in the urnine are unchanged, eyes, ears, nose , stool , heart ... eberyfing is just pawfect !!!!!!! eben mes weight ..... ya know how us gals are bout the scale !!!! well..... my weight was just the same !!!!My OUCHIE shoulder is all better from where i got my shot and Dr. T didn't fink we need blood test til April , .. so ies weady to go bisit the wadies at St. Josephs .... i don't know why mom finks we hab to celebrate wif a baf and haircut !!! geezzeee louise !!! dosen't she know its okay for us pups to be a wittle smelly and hab a dirty face sometimes ..... well... mes gonna seepy good !!!!! I hab to bisit Dr.T next week fur mes yearly physical .... Thats shots, heartworm check , blood work( to check my liver function ) wisten to me heart murmur .. and ya know .. what us wadies hate the most .. the dreaded scale !!!!! yikes.. i better walk awittle wonger startin tomorrow .. that gives me one week to drop a wittle weight !!!! Oh .. than guess what !!!!!! I was asked to be a wegular bisitor at St. Josephs nursing home.. Thats where mes Babche is .... and there are wots of wadies that had to weave thier fur babies behind .... so ies gonna bisit once a month startin Oct. 17 and put some smiles in thier day and on thier faces ...... we will get pics and all .. so i can share some of the priceless faces on me page !!! Yep .. mes was on bacation at Miss Dixies !!! Mom heard i was a good girl and me and Bambi we true pals !!!! I didn't fink mom was eber comin back .... five days ... WOW ..in dog days thats wong !!!! Mom and Dad went out to Utah to see Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon & Vegas...they also saw the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead ..... when she heard all this yellwin and screamin .. i was choosen AFF dog of the week ... Mom had to run to the local internet cafe to see for her own eyes.. fanks momma Mary for gettin mes pic up !!!! Mom sez .. Hard to bewieve the technology back in the 1930 to build the Hoover Dam and how bootyful Lake Mead is .... WOWSERS !!!!....what a place Zion and Bryce is !!! Just pawmazin !!!!! Now Vegas??Amazin in its own way !!! .... so sorry mom didn't hab more time to meet Mr. Duncan himself .. but they were only there for one day !!! It is quite the place .. but mom sez too much wealth all in one place .. when our country can't provide health care for our elderly or homes for the homeless and so many people struggle on a day to day bases just to make ends meet .... but she did see Phantom of the Opera .. and it was incredible .. whoever the Phantom is ???? she finks i should know what shes talkin about !!! Is' back to seepin on me favorite sofa and habin mom give me bellwy rubs and kisses !!!! AHHHH .. home sweet home ..nuffin wike it !!!

My new cousins .. well they are sisters .. not eben 1 year old.... wittle tea cup yorkies.... Sophia and Lola ... well they were at a fambily picnic( i wasn't there ) .. and there was a bull mastif there ... well somebody dropped a piece of chicken and the bull mastif picked up wittle Sophia and shook her ..... she's at the emergency hospital wite now...... she habs swellin in the brain and sumptin the matter wif one of her disc in her neck ... a surgeon is comin to see her in the morning .. They hab her on meds to control the swellin , but nuffin is broken and no internal bleedin .. could all me pals keep wittle Sophia in thier prayers to St. Francis .... Mom is sooo upset ... and pawlease ..... .. neber be so trusting when you are out around other pups .. you neber know what will happen !!!! Buttercup sayin prayers for wittle Sophia ... Her wast leg fusion didn't take and she's back in surgerwy today.... they gonna take bone from her shoulder and put in her weg.. poor wittle girl .. another 14 weeks of healin.. pawlease St. Francis wook after Miss Dixie and help her heal !!!We want her to wun awound wif us at the kamp !!!!

Oh my goodness.. summer nooze .. well first of all i was voted The Administrator of the month for Aug..... i had a mystery pool pawty that was a big hit in PDPC and the pool will be open til Labor day .. closin wif a Luau !!!!! Gotta get busy planning !!!!
But the best nooze is about my wittle Gizz....... he was away for two whole weeks campin at the beach .. i weally missed him .. but i got some great pics when he got home .... then he went to Eddies Wheels where they made his special cart ..... Mom brought me home from the Kamp westerday and she was unlockin the door and .............. i said what ???? I wooked at mom and said i fink we made a mistake , i fink we are at the wong house .............there was all this barkin goin on inside me house.... we opened the door and guess what ..................i had bisitors ... yep, me fur cousins Lilly and Lopey were there ... they are gonna be wif me fur 6 days .... woooohoooo .. i get to see what its wike to haf some siblins ........ its kind of fun cause i know they are goin home soon !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guess where i went today ... i was so citied to go ... i got all pretty and off we went daddy dwiving mom and Buttercup ( i wike to wide in the back seat !!) It was a wong wide... we finally got there but mom wouldn't wet me go in ..... i heard her and dad talkin sumptin bout a new brudder ..... and i might fink they were takin me to the pound.. my ears were back and i was weally listenin .... so i stayed wif dad in the car, i didn't want to miss anyfing .... mom went in and when she came out she had a wery funny, strange smell bout her ...... What!!!! anuffer pup !!!!!! Is this what this was all bout .. i fought we were goin to see Babche ( grandmom in polish)....they went to check out a companion fur me ... why do they fink i need a compaion???? I haf pwenty of pals at the kamp !!!!!!!!!!! geezzzzzzzzeeee that was close .... i almost had a brudder ... but mom sez he wasn't quite the wite one ....but the wady told her he had wots of applications so mom felt better knowin he will get a good home ..... than we went to see Babche .. we got Babche to sit out side wif us fur a whole hour ..... it was a bootyful day .... than i found out that Gizz and I were voted the Royal Couple of the month fur PDPC .. Did you hear the news... I'm so citied .... My boyfriend Gizz.. he's off to Wisconsin to attend the Maltese Wescue picnic... there is gonna be sooo many fun fings for him to do , one is a costume contest and OMD .... wait til you see what he's wearin ...Elton John eat your heart out !!!! I can't bewieve i'm gonna miss this celebration but i'm sooo happy his gettin to go .. Being a wescue sure has changed our lives wif our forever families!!! Such a sad day for all of us here at Dogster .. our beloved pal Joker passed over the Bridge so unexpectedly!!!! He was sooo much fun and we will all miss him terribly !!! The support and compassion that this lil guy brought together amongst us cyper pals is just unbelieveable ... Dogster has created so many friendships that when one of our fur babies are sufferin we all feel the pain ...

I haf had a bad bellwy for the past week or so and tank dogness i finally fwell better for the Easter Bunny today !!!!!! so i started doin a wittle Easter dance !! We were waiting for company to arrive when all of a sudden the Easter Bunny came down my stweet!!!! My wittle niece and nephew were jwust arrivin when the Easter Bunny came and they were so citied and got their picture takin wif him.... I couldn't bewieve me eyes .. i jwust knew when i saw the bunnie the utter nite that it was the weal one !!!! Hoppy Easter to all me DOGSTER PALS !!! Thought it was gonna be an ordinary day ???? No way.. woke up to a awful funder boomer, shiverin and shakin .. not feelwin my best any way .. and wow just wike the T.V. series"24" ... powiceman wif guns in my yard and front porch .. mom runnin awound to wock up everyting .. Dad weft for work and the powiceman told him to get in his car and go.. .. can you bewieve he weft mom and i by ourselves??? Held up in our bedroom for 3 1/2 hours .. no water , food or nothfin ..... mom sneakin from window to window to see what was goin on .. finally called the local powice dept. and they told her that they had a suspect held up in one of the neighbors homes !!!!!!!!! Wite here in lubley Millersville, Md.... !!!!!!!! Mom wanted to make coffee for the powiceman since it was rainin but they wouldn't wet her go in the kitchen ... so i decided what a better time to take a nap .... wooked wike they had everyting under control and we were safe for sure !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shooooooo .. been watchin too many powice movies .. this was a wittle to close for comfort !!!! They took care of everything ..but mom sez you can neber be too careful these days ... I so gwad she goes out wif me .. even in my own back yard !!!!

For those of you that don't know i haf a weally bad tummy ,so when ever i get up (anywhere from 1:30a.m. to 5:00 a.m thats est. time ) My mommy gets up wif me and lets me out .. she always comes wif me .... well.. this morning i was out at the lovely hour of 1:30 a.m. and i was stwollin the yard and wookin at the bootyful stars when all of a sudden a wascally wabbit darted awound the yard !!!! I picked up on the scent and was huntin it down .. twyin to find where it went .. i thought ..do wabbits nest on the gwound , or in the bushes ??? I hunted and hunted and didn't find the wascally wabbit ... soooo than i thought .. i know ....... its got to be ....... THE EASTER BUNNY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Checkin out my house so he'll know where to leave all my goodies on Easter Sunday !!!!Happy Easter DOGSTER PALS !!!!

Tank dogness .. we finalwee got a booytiful day !!!!! Mom and Dad worked in the yard today it 63 degrees and sunny.. but the fun part was we went to get my Babche .. ( thats polish for grandma ) . She calls me punkin !!! She lives about 1/2 hour from us in a nursin home that is run by the polish nuns and boy do the run a tight ship !!! you can eat off the floor and all the Babches there are kept so pretty!!!!!! I was shakin i was so citied to go.... i wore my booytiful scarf, the one wif the bee on it that my lil Gizz gave me , and all the Babches said i was so cute !!! Now were home and i welaxin wif Babche .... she's gonna haf dinner wif us, than we gonna take her home !!! ** Buttercup sad .. cause Babche won't remeber she was here ** but since the weather is gettin nice we will see her more often !!! Yep.. She's my Babche !!!

I tink St. Francis was listenin .. cause my pal Miss Dixie saw Dr. P this mornin and he sez she's comin awong jwust fine .. but its a swow process... but she can start to use her wittle legs some .. so i fink its gweat news for Miss Dixie !!!!! Than my Lil Gizz.. jwust got home from the dogter and he sez that he dosen't have any hip dysplasia.. Fank dogness for that cause that dosen't sound good at all..... and he's gettin twainin wheels for his new cart to help him get awound better and to help his wittle back .. and he's gonna get spwecial therapy to help him too !!!!! He is my tweety pie ... Than i got a pwessie in the mail !!!!!!!!!!! it was from my lil Gizz and his mommy .. another bootyful scarf that his mommy made and a new toy and tweats and bootyful cards too !!!!! WOW !!! What a day !!!!! But there was one bad part .. I had to go to the dogter *** Buttercup whisperin , blushin .... had to get my hum-hum .. anal glands cleaned .......... fank dogness thats over for a while !!!!! So .. I'm worrin bout my pals Miss Dixie and Gizz... Miss Dixie is on her 3 leg operation and shes seein the dogter tomorrow.. Boy ..i sure hope her wittle wegs are healin good !! He only has one front weg and its not too good and his back wegs aren't the best either... He's mommy got him wheels to help him walk but the dogter wanted to put him on meds for two weeks so he hasn't been able to use his new cart... and he fell the other night and he's been in pain and his mommy is worrin .. and Oh pwease pwease St. Francis wook after my wittle Gizz ... Saw Dr. T this mornin and he sez everyting looks gweat ... give it another day or two and everyting back to normal !! ** MOM.. did you hear what Dr. T sez.. We got the call this afternoon from Dr. T and tank pawness we got that awful cyst takin out!!!!! The pathology report sez it was a non-malignant lymphoma !!!! So another week before the stitches come out and ... yippeee ... I'll be back to normal !!! I weally feelin soooooo much better !!!! See.. all those paw prayers weally work !! Thanks to all my dogster pals !!!!
Oh I need to tell everypup bout yesterday... my lil Giz sent me a prewessie and i was so citied .. I could smell him and ohhhh he smelt so sweet !!!!!! i was barkin and givin mom a fit for her to help me get my package open .... i tore open the tissue and ... OMD !!!!!! three!!!!!! did I say three !!!!of the most adorable reversable scarfs !!! made by his mommy !!!!!! They are so sweet and i luv them all.. i don't know which to wear fwirst !!!! AWWWW and me package was covered with the best kisses !!!!! I wuv my Giz.... He is the gweatest !!!!!!! Tank goodness this is the last day on the pain medication.... I"ve been on so many trips on the new TINY PAWS CRUISE SHIP .. I tink i've been awound de world !!! All i can do is seepy .. but this is good for the healin process... mom has everyting blocked off and me snuck in the livin room ( where i never go and jumped up on the sofa!! he-he) showed them uh????? Did you say DIVA ... I tink thats me ... carried up the steps, down the steps... put up on the sofa and bed and takin down, carried in and out for potty .. my meals and water brought to me .... Yep .. I tink I is the DIVA !!!! I feelin so much better i just don't get why i can't do my normal routine !!!!! Its a full time job for mom & dad .. some body keepin an eye on me all the time !!!!! *** Buttercup waitin for Wascal to rescue her .. he is the best escape artist .. teee-heee!!!! ****

The nasty drugs wore off bout 3:00est. and i jumped off the bed and gave mom a heart attack*** Buttercup lickin mom to revive her*** He-he . Dr. T removed the mammory mass and said it looked like fatty cells but we will have to wait for pathology to come back in 3-5 days. Had me teefs cleaned ( the few i had ) and now me gots weally frwesh breath .... for all the good kissey,kisses. No pup slept at our house last nite.... we had the family room all set up for a big slumber pawty with Mom and Dad but .. nope .. nada... wanna seepy in my human bed upstairs like me used too!!!! But me was very restless and mom didn't close her eyes all nite.. but dad was sendin out some ZZZZ'SSSS!!!!! We have gotten so many wonderful warm pal wishes from all me pals on dogster so here it goes.......

Tomorrow is the day .... yep gots to have suwergy .. I gots a cyst in me mammory gland and its gettin bigger so its gots to come out .... Mom has been twyin real hard to keep me tummy well so i could have this done .. and i've been winnin the tummy war for bout 5 weeks and so happy!!! ( not gonna be happy in the mornin ... no water ,no food hummmmmp !!!), and since I gonna be out thought it be good to get me teefhs cleaned too... so tanks to me pal Miss Dixie I've been gettin all kinds of pup prayers, hugs, kisses, and warm paw wishes from all me Dogster pals !!!! I didn't think i'd ever get out of the dang tub!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just in time for me pals Pufulets pawty and somepup started kissin ears, and tails with bright red lipstick ...... and i thought better to join in the fun !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank goodness.. goin to the spa pawty tomorrow cause gotta get all this lipstick out. No way for Royal Dog of the Year to look. ( Have to admit that Rascal is quite the artist) !

Well, ya all know bout me tummy problems... well its been 2 weeks and so far so good .. I'm winning the tummy war... but cause of this my mommy is a nut and trust me see keeps an eye on me at all times, well she left a cheese and cracker on the coffee table and i thought .. * she thinks i'm such an angel she'll never think i took it !!!! so she went to put some cloths in the dryer and when she came back it was gone!!! yum,yum never had such a treat * She thought she ate it hee-hee!!! Then see found a crumb i forgot .... and yep i was no angel !!!
She also found one of me teefhs.. I don't have many .. and now i'm one less . As long as i don't smile ya'd never know !!!!!!

Can't believe the pawtys are over and the decorations are down .. ( don't these humans know how much we like all those pretty lights) and things are gettin back to normal!! Makin so many new pals and goin to so many pawtys on Dogster!!! My secretary says your a true dogsterholic when her calendar has more furry friend dates than her own ( hummmmmmmmm) I think sumptin wrong with this picture... So glad me friend Miss Frankie is finally home recoverin now in the arms of her family .. we all was prayin real hard . I miss my pal baby j at Kamp Archies.. but hes at the bridge with me brudders Teddy and Reggie and I know they are havin a good time.. they keepin a close eye on all of us here . Wow!! What a fun Paw-ty!!! Everypup looked so great ... the food was delicious ..and the punch was wooohoooo!!! The tunes were the best and boy did we have some fantastic paw dancers!! That red-head Bambi sure knows how to get down and have a good time. Thanks to our limo driver mo-mo we made it right on time and Bogie is such a gentlemen!! Madison, Gizzy and everyone who put this gig on did a pawtastic job!!! Oh I hope Max is feelin o.k. Thought we lost him for a while !!! Happy New Year PDPC!!!

Well, I just can't believe how things are goin... Christmas was over in a flash and I was just waitin for the New Year when mommy gotta jumpin and screamin cause we got e-mail that i won Princess page of the month for the Divas and Prince Charming group .. I was so citied that i bout kissed her nose right off her face... Then mom was at work and got a call from Momma Mary & Fran.. sumptin bout being choosen for Royal Dog of the year and my goodness mommy had to keep her composure until she got home and could see for herself ..............and then she danced around with me and was all crazy acting... we couldn't believe it !!!! What an honor .. and for a whole year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Geeewhizzzzz we just don't know what to say but CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES COME ON !!!! We are waiting for my human brothers to come for Christmas !!! Can't wait. Did I tell you what Mom gave me for Christmas !!! I couldn't believe it !!!!!!!!!!!! On Christmas Day !!!!!!!!!!!!! A BATH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think she lost her marbles !! I didn't want to do it but now I smell so good and I do feel much better ( not gonna let her know ) ... My brothers( whom I didn't get to know ) both passed over the Rainbow Bridge . Reggie was mommies first baby and every Christmas he would get under the christmas tree and ruffle up the tree skirt and guard the tree. When mom adopted Teddy he was 8 and after Reggie passed over the bridge Teddy started doing the same thing. Well, this Christmas alittle angel told me to do the same thing. The tree has been up since the first week in December and I haven't even noticed it but yesterday I got alittle message from them both so I went like a flash under the tee and ruffled up the tree skirt.. mom was in tears.. Happy tears.. She knew that her boys were here for Santa !!! We miss you boys and Love you always !!! Thanks Buttercup!!! You did a great job !!!! You delivered our message to mom !!!!

Can't believe its almost here!!! Mom says my cousin Matt comes in a couple of days. I think I remember him. I'm not sure if he really likes me cause he says I'm an ole ratty bedroom slipper( he likes to tease mom) Since Dr.T put me back on my meds for my tummy issues I'm feeling lots better. Mom and I actually have slept two nights in a row ( whoppppppppie) I hope my tummy holds out for Santa. The shopping is done , things are wrapped, mom says she's gonna start the baking so were just gonna sit tight , count the days and enjoy the ride!! I hope Miss Dixie starts to behave herself so Momma Fran can get some things done !! We're sending prayers and paw hugs to Momma Mary that she feels better soon too!! Mommy and I can come help anytime .. Gotta go get breakfast .. Be back later

Moms been busy shopping and wrapping. I gave her all my treat money so she could shop for all my pals at Kamp Archie , and for all my cousins!! Getting tooooo excitied for Santa Paws. I kind of peaked in some of the bags and I think I saw a few things for you know who ( heeeeee) . Ooops hope santa didn't hear!!!!!!!!!! Mom has put me in something called contest with all my new pals on dogster and everytime I lift me head she's got the camera.. Don't all Divas just love to pose??

Well... I have lots to be thankful for.... for my forever home,momma fran & mary,and all my pals at kamp archies...We had turkey day last night.. my cousins lilly and lopey came and i was such a snob. I guess i was tired. I got my belly full earlier and i just wanted to curl up in the family room and nap.. so thats just what i did.... after all.. with my tummy issues .. mom didn't give me any turkey but she did boil me some fresh chicken and what do i know.. I gobbled it up and was thankful. So today we are going to rest rest.. watch the Macys day parade.. i hope go for a walk.. and rest some more. Oh I almost forgot i have to get ready for my cruise.. yes the tiny paws cruise line... i think i might have to go shopping even if it is black friday.. i do need a few new things !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, Let me tell ya about my day yesterday at Kamp Archies... Momma Fran And Momma Mary were painting.. and yep.. you guessed it.. I decided that it might be fun to add alittle canine stencil artistry to the carpet. A pretty shade of aqua !!! It looked great with my beautiful white coat... so off to me tub I had to go and boy did Momma Fran have a time getting me clean. Today I was very good ... stayed out of the paint!!!

Well , Bonnie my new friend was so happy to see her pappy.. and the next day wasn't so happy for me. I got the awful belly ache again but this time it last for about 16 hours. It's really painful!! Once its over ,my happy tail is back and so is the appetite. I went back to Kamp Archie and it was so get to see all my friends there. Our baby Dixie had to have surgery on her leg, so Momma Fran & Momma Mary were quite upset... Dixie came home on Friday so everybody was so happy. Now we have to nurse her back to good health. The bad news is she has to go through 3 more operations... but watch out, cause shes gonna be ---- on wheels once she is mobile. WE still love her and wish her a speedy recovery.

My new friend Bonnie who is a only child,Maltese who came to visit for 4 days. I wasn't so sure how I was going to like this but its been kind of nice to have some company 24-7. We go in and out together,eat together, stand duty together,and bark like crazy. Nights though she sleeps with my mommy on the sofa and I get the whole bed with my Dad. You see.. Bonnie has never spent over night with anyone!! She is the travel queen. She normally travels everywhere with her Daddy. It wasn't possible this time so we were the lucky ones and she stayed with us. She was alittle fretful at first because it was so new for her,but by the second day she was in the groove!! She has our routine down ,and now its time for her to go home today. I think I'm gonna be very sad, I know Mom is . Mom says I've had a happy tail for 4 days, but tomorrow I'll be back at Kamp Archies with my buds. Happy as a lark.

October 23.. Its my get you day!! Its the day my mommy and daddy rescued me 2 years ago and brought me to my forever home!! AMEN!! I woke up in such a good mood today. Theres a brisk air outside, ( my kind of day) .. I got some new toys , went for my a.m. walk.. oh yeah .. I got a new collar and leash,I almost forgot. I have a new pal with me. Her name is Bonnie . She is staying for a few days and mom says shes been trying out for the canine whining award! She is missing her daddy some but I think she'll catch on soon that this place is not so bad. Her daddy has never left her before.. so its a little stressful for her ( especially at 13). Mom says she'll take some party pics later. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUTTERCUP WE LOVE YOU !

Had to get my yearly shot today. Mom was nervous because I have such tummy problems and I am so sensitive to everything.... but I showed her.. not any problems !!!! yippppeeee!!! I'm counting the days til my birthday( which by the way is Oct. the 23).. Mom really dosen't know how old I am but at rescue they thought I was maybe 5-6 and since I've been in my forever home for 2 years I guess thats gonna make me 7-8....but who cares "LETS PARTY"

So about Kamp Archie... Before I became the princess thier was Teddy and Reggie. Reggie the yorkie became very sick and Teddy was left all alone. Mom always took us to ITS MAGIC for grooming. Its a special place because they don't use any cages. She became good friends with Momma Fran and Momma Mary(the groomers) so mom asked if Teddy could spend his days with them while she was at work. They said they would try it but Teddy would have to get along with thier best buddy Archie who was getting along in age. Well...Teddy and Archie were best buddies!!! Slept together ,walked together, ate together, you name it they were true buds. Teddy was declining as was Archie and bless Archie he just comforted Teddy in his bed all day. Well.. Archie left us first and it was only a few months befor Teddy joined him . Thus KAMP ARCHIE S came to be!!!!!!! Since then its been a haven for rescues. Theres MoMo , Boggie, Jake, Shenandoah,Bambi and Dixie. All have a unique story but Dixie is the worst. Fran and Mary rescued her from Washington Animal Rescue League. She had been ..well who knows but all four paws have been crushed. Shes a a trooper. When they brought her home she didn't get around to well... Thats changed, she can get wherever her little heart wants in a split second.... and loves to terrorize anyone that walks by her ( especially brother MoMO.) The truth about Kamp Archies is that the special ones are Moma Fran and Moma Mary. Can't imagine life without them ... THANK GOODNESS FOR KAMP ARCHIES !!!!

I really don't know what happened but I was found wandering the mean streets of Philly ( can you imagine a princess like me) They took me to a high kill shelter where they only hold you for 24 hours before you go to doggie heaven. Thank goodness for Annie Trinkle. She is the owner of Animal Alliance from New Jersey. She goes every day and rescues animals that can be readopted. Thats when my luck changed!! My new mommy and daddy had lost their Teddy( also a Maltese) to bone cancer. He was 16 and was thier life . They rescued him when he was 8 years old. Prior to losing him they lost Reggie ( a yorkie) who was moms boy. They were feeling very lonely and mom was looking everyday for her next companion. She had applied for 3 other maltese and was turned down. Can you believe that!! Thats when she saw me on the internet and quickly mailed in her application and my life has been heaven from then on. Mom and Dad drove up to Jersey to get me. I had to have many teeth pulled due to poor diet and a umbilical cord hernia repair,but that was o.k. because my life was really on the upswing. Mom and Dad brought me home and I thought " how lucky can a gal be!! " , but it gets better. Mom and Dad work so no princess should be alone.. so.. they take me to Kamp Archies where I stay with Momma Mary and Momma Fran and their 6 canine children. Boggie, MoMO, Jake, Dixie , Shenandoah, and Bambi. They are groomers so some days we all go off to the shop. Boy, some days we all are pretty tired!! I have to tell you about Kamp Archies and my pal Dixie on my next entry. I just know that my life couldn't get any better .. I'm one lucky little gal and no doubt about it.. I am a princess!!
