For the pups beyond the Rainbow Bridge,
We bow our heads, we shed some tears,
We know that nothing can take the place
Of the furry pals we loved so dear.
And even as the years go by,
A remembered nudge, a lick, a sigh
An old photograph will bring them back,
And tears will fall from many an eye.

We thank the good Lord up above,
For your doggy smile and unconditional love
The way you felt within our arms,
Your bark, your whine, your many charms.
We thank Him for your listening ear
The warmth of your body when you pressed it near.
Is it so surprising really, that you are called DOG.
You're a pretty good reflection of the love of our GOD.

For the pups beyond the Rainbow Bridge,
A voice is heard at bridge's end.
"Well done, true and faithful friend."
Your job and journey is completed on earth.
Play in the flowerfields, bask in the sun...
Chase with your pals and have great fun.
But keep your ears cocked while you're chewing that bone
You'll hear familiar footsteps---your human's come home.

And if I go, while your still here

Know that I live on
vibrating to a different measure
behind a thin veil you cannot see through

You will not see me
so you must have faith

I wait the time when we can soar together again
both aware of each other

Until then live your life to its fullest
and when you need me
Just whisper my name in your heart
I will be there.

God's Garden (from minister misty) yer always around with just the right words! thank you..XXXXX

God looked around His garden
And He found an empty place
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your precious face

He put His arms around you
And lifted you to rest;
God' s Garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain
He knew you' d never ever
Get well on earth again.

So He closed your weary eyelids
And whispered " Peace be thine "
Then He took you up to Heaven
With Hands so gentle and kind.

It broke our hearts to lose you
But you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God welcomed you home.

A Dog for Jesus
(Where dogs go when they die)

I wish someone had given Jesus a dog.
As loyal and loving as mine.
To sleep by His manger and gaze in His eyes
And adore Him for being divine.

As our Lord grew to manhood His faithful dog,
Would have followed Him all through the day.
While He preached to the crowds and made the sick well
And knelt in the garden to pray.
It is sad to remember that Christ went away.
To face death alone and apart.
With no tender dog following close behind,
To comfort its Master's Heart.
And when Jesus rose on that Easter morn,
How happy He would have been,
As His dog kissed His hand and barked it's delight,
For The One who died for all men.

Well, the Lord has a dog now, I just sent Him mine,
The old pal so dear to me.
And I smile through my tears on this first day alone,
Knowing they're in eternity.
Day after day, the whole day through,
Wherever my road inclined,
Four feet said, "Wait, I'm coming with you!"
And trotted along behind.

Rudyard Kipling

thank you minister misty...

this is exactly how we feel right this moent...we love you for sending this to us....
Subject: sweet doey Sent: Tue Dec 18

I sit and try to write the words, I want your heart to hear.
Hoping to find some comfort, in the fact that your not here.
I look out into the open field, that you once occupied,
Knowing now that field is empty, because my love, you've died.
I do believe with all my heart, that your soul has gone to be,
With all the other angel dogs, that you were meant to see.
We will have to stay behind, until God calls us too,
So do not be afraid, that he's only called for you.
The water is still, in the pond that you played,
And your bed is so empty, where your pretty head laid.
Our bed is to empty, where you once laid between,
the two people who LOVED you and now only dream,
That one day our eyes will shut one last time,
and you will come greet us, angel of mine.
Until then, I'll keep trying to see through my tears,
with memories you left us, to reflect through the years.
We'll never forget one minute we spent,
of loving and laughing, of places we went.
And I dread the day that your scent disappears,
for it's "proof" to me, shenandoah, that you were just here!
But one day will come, when we'll start to see through,
the pain of the moment, and remember just "you".
Now you go and play, and look down when you can,
remembering we love you, and this isn't the end.

Dear sweet pals,
This is a very sad day for the mommies. After sufferin a huge heart attack overnite, our sweet doe-y girl has gone to the bridge today with the angels & our Archie & Jake, we know come to get her. we want to thank all her pals for the prayers & support you gave her & us thru these bad all are the most wonderful pals & people we & shenandoah have ever known..& please don't be sad for her now ,she is in a better place well & healthy & running with her brothers..& many other pups up there..It's Christmas time & she or the not want to bring sadness to anyone..we think she picked this time because it's soo beautiful up there now...She was our Lady...& we loved her very much..& will miss her sooo much. So it's important to us & her brothers & sisters to practise what we we can go on an add another angel to our most missed pups. & so we can all keep up prayers for the other pups that are in trouble. Shennandoah would love that..& so would the mommies...we are all Blessed with the love of our animals and blessed that we can give them all the love in the world when we have them...& not let them suffer anymore..They can go to the bridge in peace ...We will see them again someday.. love you all..(the mommies...frannie and mary)

this was not a position i ever wanted...nope...sure didnt. it just kinda happened, when our bro jake went to the bridge jan 4. there was a teensy bit of discussion bout it was gonna be me or momo, but since momo got that reportin job, he's been pretty busy. this senior thing has lotsa responsibilities come with it.
1. i gotta make sure all the pups are in the car , in their proper seats when we go to work.(can't leave anypup behind,if they still chasin a squirrel in the yard)
2. gotta make sure the mommies are on time with dinner..(i not as close to 5 pm as jake was, but i learnin)
3. gotta round up evrypup for the last trip outside before bed and make sure there's no slow-do-ers ( door locked at 1015 sharp)
all this comes natural to my breed, but the rewards are pretty neat...first bowl down before any other pup (even miss dixie) and best seat in the car for all rides.(cept for miss dixie--the front-seat diva)..and my choice of nappin spots whenever i feel a snooze comin on.
so, all in all, senior aint too bad, i guess. but i sure would rather have jake back here again.....hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..
