Arrival Story: SAW HER BY ACCIDENT AT THE WASHINGTON ANIMAL RESCUE LEAGUE(WARL) IN D.C. SHE WAS CONSIDERED UNADOPTABLE BECAUSE OF HER DISABILITIES, UNTIL THEY MET ME. WE FORMED AN INSTANT BOND AND SHE HAS BEEN MY LOVE FOR OVER 3 YEARS NOW. CAN'T REMEMBER LIFE WITHOUT HER. Bio: MISS DIXIE IS A TRUE SURVIVOR. THE VETS SAY SHE WAS PROBABLY STOMPED AS PUP IN AN EFFORT TO KILL HER. ALL 4 PAWS AND LEGS ARE PERMANENTLY DAMAGED, YET SHE SURVIVED. SHE WAS FOUND IN A WOODS BESIDE A BUSY D.C. STREET AND AFTER LOTS OF LOVING CARE BY THE GREAT FOLKS AT WARL, SHE RESIGNED HERSELF TO LIVING AT THEIR FACILITY FOREVER. SINCE SHE ADOPTED ME, SHE HAS GOTTEN STRONG ENOUGH TO MOVE ABOUT THE HOUSE AT WILL AND TERRORIZE HER BROTHERS WHENEVER SHE FEELS LIKE IT.

(THANS LIL DIVA! ) the report on tissue removed on mdm's foot is in and the news is GREAT....NO CANCER AND EXACTLY WHAT DR P EXPECTED IT TO BE,,,,that synovial cyst....so now we just keep the stinker from walkin on it til he sees her on the 18th! thats a 24/7 job...she always trying to remove the bandage and would ya beeeeeelieve....SHE CAN GET OUT OF THE DANg COLLAR? omg!

THIS IS MOMMA MARY...WE JUST TALKED TO SWEET DR P...THE SURGERY IS OVER AND MDM CAME THRU PERFECT...HE SAYS IT LOOKS TO BE A *SYNOVIAL CYST*...they usually form in a joint that has been damaged, or surgically changed....and we all know how much of that happened to our girl! (grrrrrrrr to the bas--- that did it to her)
becoz of the growth of the cyst, he felt it was best to remove the cyst and the toe also...it is a n0mn-weightbearing toe, so it will not affect her walking...in fact....he says it shouyld make it easier and more comfy for her...
she willbe in hospital overnite tonite and they will call when we can come get her tomorrow....
dr p says to thank you all for the prayers that guided his hands today!

OMD! I dont know where to begin..what a day between taking our
bogie to the emergency center & he become a mystery..& now my
sweet DIXIE MONROE.. with this mystery lump on the bottom of her front foot..had it aspirated last week. they don't know what it is or what it is from. but her saw dr, p today again, & it has gotten bigger, he said, He dont want to wait to operate..because it seems to be growing fast..& he doesn't want it to take over the paw pad.
the reports were good but did not know what it was & he dosen't think it's cancer, But he cant rule it out until he operates & sends it away..sooooo i wait.
but she will be going in the morning (thursday 8/5)to be operated on..so i begging one more time fer prayers. that she gets through this 1 more time. & recovers well. I hate doing this, cause so many lil furs seem to be in trouble lately..& GOD knows our family are praying for them every nite cause we do luv these pups...& i want to thank you all for the help you always give my dixie..GOD BLESS YOU ALL for that. & GOD BLESS ALL THE PUPS THAT ARE IN TROUBLE..THANK YOU from MOMMY FRANNIE & MARY & OUR WHOLE CREW...
