 Quick Bio:
Likes: PEANUT BUTTER! Dog friends, mom's cell phone and socks (not to chew just toss around and chase!), Grandma's house, and my squeaky toys!

Pet-Peeves: Water... pools, bath tubs, showers, rain puddles.... but the ultimate nemisis?... *dundundun!* - Storm drain covers.

Favorite Toy: Kong - will carry it around begging for PB!

Favorite Food: Peanut Butter!.... but she'll try just about anything!

Favorite Walk: Anywhere -- must walk.... long, long distances.

Best Tricks: Opening peanut butter jars.

Arrival Story: Saw her at an adoption day at PetsMart all curled up in a little ball, alone in a big crate. She was a return, had been abandoned and rescued by the shelter with her 6 siblings, adopted out, but returned. That pulled at my heart. They let her out to meet me...she was such a sweet lover of a thing, and couldn't leave her... Now she's this wild puppy thing that never seems to tire....

Bio: Phoebe is almost 3 years old! She has mellowed slightly, I don't see *as much* of the excitable puppy in her as last year or the year before. She is starting to slow down a little and actually enjoy the good things in life.... a good chew toy, a nice breeze under a shady tree, warm sun spots. She still, however, never tires. We will hike for 4 hours and she will rest for 5 minuts and then jump up the second you do wagging her tail as if to say: "Ready for more????" Boundless energy (the Border Collie in her)... that is until I try to get her out of bed at 6am! She is NOT a morning dog (the lab in her)!

Forums Motto: The world is like one giant squeaky toy

I love having Phoebe, she is the best thing that has happened in my life! Keeps me going, keeps me active. I am actively searching, however, for fun INEXPENSIVE easily accessible activities for her. She needs a "job".... Border Collies need jobs from what I've read so I'm looking for the right job for Pup.... any ideas?

Well, I'm almost 5 1/2 months now and I've grown SO MUCH. I'm tall now and can reach the countertops and tables. It's fun to help mom by pulling everything down! Staying at Grandma's is fun. The most fun, though, is going to work with mom and playing with my pal Harley. He teaches me things like tug and how to wrestle. I really miss Harley on the weekends.
I'm losing all of my baby teeth. I lost my molars last week and my bottom fangs. My top ones are loose. Mom says I'm a Gummy Puppy. I don't like it much, I can't play tug very well and it hurts to eat my treats. Mom gives me lots of ice cubes, and those are fun! They slide around on the tile floor. The hardest part is food. I don't like mushy canned food. It's not very tasty. Mom has tried giving me rice with chicken and green beans. Rice is fun to toss around the floor! I just don't like anything but my crunchy food. But that's too hard to eat right now.

Mom and I had a busy week! We had puppy class, where I learned to "stay". Mom says I'm brilliant since I can already stay for 5 minutes! She says she wishes I could apply the same self discipline and restraint when it comes to her flip flops and cell phone.
This weekend we moved in with Grandma! Mom is sad to do so, but her friend we lived with wasn't working out. She says we will be happier on our own, but needs time to find an apartment.
I think Grandma's house is FABULOUS! So she can take her time on finding one! Meanwhile I'll get to go to work with mom everyday so we still get to spend time together and play! I'll get to see my friend Harley, my mom's boss' lab everyday, that will be FUN!

Went to the little dark park this morning and saw my Aunt B. She protects me from bigger rowdier dogs, and doesn't let me get into trouble when I forget that I'm still a small dog.
I chewed mom's sock. I was so proud of how high I can reach now, wow! I sure can balance on one back foot, I knew mom would be thrilled at my new accomplishment! When she took the sock, I tried to tell her that the new holes will give her added ventilation for her toes! She didn't look amused.
Tonight I rediscovered the thrill of my squeaky soccer ball. Oh how I love it's squeak, squeak, squeak, squeak! Mom must love it too! She keeps trying to take it from me so she can play with it! But I won't let her have it... Nope, it's MINE! Squeak! Squeak! Squeak!
