2 more days and it's been a year...

...since we lost Pebbs to the the bridge. Every day there is something that reminds us of her. Bammers has a lot of the same mannersims as her so we see it as both a blessing and a curse. Pebbies was always such a sweet sister-she gave us love no matter how mean either one of us was to her. Sadie was especially obnoxious no matter how many times Pebbs tried to love her, but we hope she knew that we both loved her so much. Days like today would make Pebbs so happy, she just loved the snow. When mommy thinks of her she can picture snowflakes landing deep in her fur and she laughs every time she thinks of Pebbs scooping up a pile of snow in her mouth and gulping it down. Right now mommy is having a really hard time. We are trying to make her feel better, and even Bammers seems to be trying with his usual antics, but her sadness is too deep right now. In the coming days, we will do our best to remember every little thing we loved about our sister, smile at all of her wonderful qualities, laugh at all of her silly quirks, and take pleasure in all of the things she loved most. We love you sweet angel

7 days now...

...it's been 7 days now and it seems like 7 minutes. Mommy is still crying every day and hasn't been sleeping. Daddy still cries too. We feel a little lost. At first we thought Pebbles was just at grandma and grandpas for a visit. Mommy and Daddy kept telling us she was with the angels and all our other pals that had passed now, but we still didn't understand. We're not sure we do even now. Today mommy was sadder than usual, and she had a bag and a box that smelled like doc Harts office. She said that we finally have our Pebbles back home with us. We have looked everywhere, but we can't seem to find her. Pebbies collar is still on mommy's seat on the couch, and her toys have been put away. We don't know what's going on. All we know is that our sissy is gone and our pawrents are super sad. We've been trying to give them extra love, and hopefully it's helping. If you're listening Pebbles, we miss you very very much big sis. We Love you,
Morgie and Sadie Lee

I would thank you from the bottom of my heart, but for you my heart has no bottom. ~Author Unknown

Our gratitude and love for all of you is endless. It has been a rough time for our family this whole past year in general, and we never would have made it through weren't it not for the kindness of all of our pals here at Dogster. Life throws obstacles at us, but we have to think that they were put there for a reason. In our case, our family has grown even stronger, and we will never again forget how precious every minute we have with our loved ones is. Mommy heard from her doctor and her biposies came back WITHIN NORMAL LEVELS

W hile mommy has some other hurdles to face with her illnesses, the biggest ones have been cleared. Thanks to all of you for your continued prayers, love, and just overall kindness to our whole family. We owe all of you so many thanks, we hope you can accept our heartfelt appreciation. We love all of you.
Furever in your debts,
Dan, Amber, Pebbs, Morgie, and Sadie Lee

We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures. ~Thornton Wilder

Dear Friends,
We are so blessed to have such a treasure trove of pals that love us and our family. Each day brings a new hardship, a new worry, but with all the love and support we have on our sides, we feel we can get past anything. The letters, e mails, and gifts make our weary hearts strong, and we thank you so much for all of it. Just knowing that we are not alone in our pain, or even in our moments of joy, makes life so special to us. We appreciate the prayers perhaps the most of all, so bless you for that too. There are so many sick pups on Dogster that need those prayers so much more than us, and we don't want to take away from that. As much as we love the fact that all of you care so much, please send those lovely thoughts and prayers to those who need it most. We hope to be back on with our pals soon, but for now we are staying by mommy's side. All our Love and eternal greatfulness,
Pebbles, Morgan, Sadie Lee, Dan and Amber

Sadie's mommy-Amber here

I'm hoping all of you here that pray can put your hands together for my sweet Sadie. Last night she started puking and had uncontrollable diarrhea. We thought she might have gotten into something that caused her some tummy upset, although she's never had problems before. Well this morning and all day it was worse than ever. Dan left and there was a 2 hour period between when i could get home and he had to work and I came home to a puddle of blood. Now I work a lot with dogs, so I've seen pretty bad stuff before, but this tore me straight to the heart. Our vet, who I trust completely, told us to wait it out and just take all food and water away(although she's not eating or drinking anyhow). It has taken every fiber of my being not to rush her to the emergency vet, but like I said, our vet is wonderful, and definately the best in the area. So please forgive us if we're not on tonight-although I may camp out with Sadie by the computer for some moral support. Thanks to all of our dear friends

HERE BUNNY BUNNY

This was a major weekend for the Conway Sisters. First Pebbles got a bunny wabbit. Not only that, but she decapitated it!!! Mommy was less than happy about that, but we thought it was fabulous!!! Mommy first discovered a tooth in Pebbles puke, and she yelled "AHHHHHH" and we thought that was hilarious, again, mommy was less than thrilled. Then she followed the trail to the back yard and found the bunny's body a little less than whole. We have already added this feat to our tally against the furry woodland creatures trying to overtake our yard. Score another one for the Sisters!!! Next, we got a whole full day with mommy and daddy in the backyard!! Oh it was so much fun, except maybe for Morgie, who had to get a bath(yuck). Even she went wild after the wash and ran around in her usual "wild-wet-doggie" fashion. Mom and dad threw the ball for me, brushed pebbs and Morgie, and just relaxed in the sun with us the entire day. What bliss. Tonight we'll finish the day off with a nice snooze in mommy and daddy's bed(mommy and daddy optional). Hope everyone had a nice holiday!!
Sadie Wiggles,
Sadie Lee

We have been tagged by our great pals Sassy, Otto, Mia, Gunner,Dawson, Shiloh, Daisy,Mocha Bear,Cookie,Akimi, Titus Phillipe, Simba, Dakini,Furio and Aussie Too. It sounds like fun so we're off to tag. Below are the rules of the game:

(Hint: Copy and paste the rules so you don't have to type them again):

Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Dogs who are tagged, need to post in their Diary the rules & their 7 pawsome facts. Then choose 7 dogs to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to bark them a pmail that they have been tagged and to read your Diary, or, send them a fun Rosette announcing they've been Tagged!

1. We like to chase tiny little critters-Pebbs-Squirrels, Morg-squirrels and moles, and Sadie-bunnies
2. Our favorite thing to do is to sleep in the bed with mommy and daddy. Sadie sleeps between mommy and daddy, Morg sleeps at the end of the bed, and Pebbs like to sleep on the floor next to daddy
3. While most of the time when we're outside we do our own things, sometimes we feel rowdy and chase each other in circles around the picnic table until we fall from exhaustion
4. Pebbles likes to play with a lot of different kinds of toys-tug-a-ropes, balls, and stuffies
5. Morgie likes to play with stuffies-well ones shaped like squirrels atleast, but most of all she loves empty 2 liter bottles
6. Sadie loves balls balls and more balls. The squeakier the better
7. We love to chew on ice cubes

And the pups we choose to tag are:
1 Gibbon http://www.dogster.com/dogs/238846

Yippee The three of us finally got one!!! After all these years of me and Morgie chasing them, we finally got a squirrel!! Sadie just happened to be there to nibble on him, but me and Morg are the true hunters of squirrels. Oh and he was a fat one indeed!! He came down that tree all giggling his little annoying sounds and up we jumped, and down down he fell!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!! Of course mommy was none too thrilled. She came out yelling "bad bad girls-this and what did you do?-that!! Atleast we didn't drop it in front of the back door like a prize like Sadie does with bunny wabbits. Mommy looked like she was ready to cry. Of course we hung our heads(with the exception of Morgie, who doesn't know any better) in shame until she left the room. We are so proud of ourselves!!! Off we go to bask in the glow of our accomplishment Off to dream land I go,
yours truly,
Pebbles(squirrel-squasher) Conway

Our scare with mommy...

...it's been a while since mommy has had one of her seizures this bad. Today she was in the bathtub and we were the only ones home with her. We were whining and pawing at the gate, but we couldn't get to her. Luckily daddy was on his way home from work and found her before she did too much damage to herself. We can always tell when mommy is going to have one of these things, and we try to warn her, but she hasn't figured out a way to read our warnings yet. Daddy got her into bed, and then we all came in with her to help her feel better. She couldn't do much to pet us, but we know we made her feel better, and that's what counts. Mommy said that we are the best fuzzbutts ever, and that seeing us try to help when she was seizing made her proud to be our pawrent. We just pray to the big DOG in the sky that mommy doesn't have to scare us like that again, daddy and we need her very much.

Snowstorm 2007

Well anybody who has ever lived in Cleveland knows that we have such weird weather and you never know what is going to happen. Well in the last few days we were struck with the most snowfall for February ever-in the span of three days!!! Luckily for us, mommy was snowed in so we got to have her all day and play in the snow with her!!! She actually had to dig a path in the back yard so we could, uh, well you know . She took us out back and took some great pictures. Little Sadie barely came out the door because it was over her head!!! She found a way to hop through it to the shallower patches though. It was so much fun. We all chased each other around and ate a bunch of yummy, crunchy snow(watching for the yellow spots).Daddy had to trek out today for work, so we are keeping our paws crossed he gets home safely. Mommy says it's starting to get bad again-more snow coming in- so we will pray for all the people and pups that must be out there today. Until next time...
