Quick Bio:
-mutt-dog rescue

Likes:
food!, soft fuzzy things to chew up (including her bed), any kind of paper, obsessive compulsive licking, getting her belly rubbed

Pet-Peeves:
not being the center of attention 24/7, when mommy doesn't let her eat gross things she finds outside

Favorite Toy:
her stuffed animals, which have all been de-stuffed and the chocolate nylabone

Favorite Food:
can you taste food when you inhale it?

Best Tricks:
making gremlin like noises when she wants attention, knocking treats out of Lilly's mouth so she can have them, dancing around on her hind legs when she meets someone new

Arrival Story:
Izzie was a stray until a nice lady found her and became her foster mom. She put Izzie's picture on petfinder.com and that's where I found her. I was looking for a friend for my dachshund, Lilly, and I was torn between getting another doxie or getting a pug, my other favorite small dog. Lo and behold I came across a doxie/pug mix on petfinder, but at first hesitated because I thought that Izzie was a boy. Lilly seems to like other female dogs better. I had to take a peek at the profile anyway, because Iz was just so cute. Lucky I did because it turned out that Izzie was a girl. She and Lilly have become best buddies.

Bio:
Izzie is the happiest little dog I've ever met. It's not easy to see in all of her pictures--she's got a very sad looking face--but her tail never stops wagging. She's also proof that you don't have to be big to have a big personality. She's got to say hello to everyone she meets, even if they aren't too interested in saying hello to her. While she loves her momma, she'd willingly go off with any stranger who paid attention to her or gave her a treat. She has to be the center of attention at all times. If you aren't paying attention to her, she lets out a sound like she's being tortured! She also makes yoda-like noises when you talk to her, snorts when she's investigating something, and snores when she sleeps.

About two weeks ago we moved to a new house with a big fenced back yard! I'm not one to go out and run much like the other dogs--I'd rather be sitting on mommy's lap. Still, I am very happy with the new yard. I like to sit outside in the sun.

Look at my new picture!

This is me at the Halloween party last fall. I went as a pig, which everyone said was fitting since I make piggy snorts and I'm a bit chubby. I can't help it though, I am half pug after all. Oh, and I have a curly tail too. I didn't like the piggy head too much though--it kept falling off to the side and getting in the way when I ate the cake so mom took it off. You can see some of the cake on my nose in this picture.

what a long day!

What a busy day we had yesterday. First mom took us to a doggie play group. Most of the dogs there were really big, though, and I didn't like that. The only thing I like about big dogs is barking at them. One big boxer decided she really liked me and she kept chasing me around, trying to play.

Later on we went to a benefit for a dachshund rescue. All the doggies there were just my size and I loved it. Everyone loved me too. All the humans, that is. They thought I was such a cute doxie mix and told me I was a "character." I did my pogo stick imitation too and managed to get some treats!
