Arrival Story:
Went to Japan to visit friends who happened to have 4 pups left in their litter of SP's. They were going to keep Roxy because she is so special, so I decided to "help" a little and started spending time with the cutest little (big) ball of fluff ever. Roxy and I fell in puppy love and she followed me home to the US!

Bio:
Roxy has the best personality ever, she is the dog I always wanted, but didn't know it was going to be a standard poodle! Roxy has a busier social calendar than I do! Roxy and I are learning about dog shows together! So far in 2009 she has earned her CD and RA in obedience. We are getting ready to show in Open Obedience (CDX) fall of 2009, which is a lot of fun because she gets to jump and retrieve! She loves to retrieve... we have two junior hunter passes at an AKC hunt test and only need two more for a junior hunter title. In 2009 Roxy also earned the Working Certificate Excellent from the Poodle Club of America, which tests her ability to remember where two birds fell. As much as she loves ducks, she really loves to herd sheep! Since I don't have any sheep, she likes to herd her poodle friends when they play!

Ducks, bones, and Pull-Ups...just a few things going on- lately!

Woof, I haven't written in a long time! Mary and I have been so busy... we've been a few shows since August, and even a duck dog seminar JUST FOR POODLES!! Ya, that was awesome! I LOVE ducks! Of course, I'm not to sure about dead ducks... but I like duck wings, so I'm sure I'll graduate to big ducks soon! I have learned some new tricks, like "hold" and "twirl"...and I'm learning to turn off the light switch for Mary! Though I don't think she's going to have much luck getting ME out of bed at night to turn the light off for her!
I am just finishing my 'first heat', at least, that's what Mary calls it! All I know is that Pull-Ups are NOT cool!!! And we haven't been on walks in the neighborhood in 3 whole weeks! There's only so much a poodle girl like me can put up with, you know? I think we get to start our walks again soon though, and maybe even jog eventually! I'm old enough so it won't hurt my bones now, and I need more muscles to look stunning in the ring!
But some more good news...! Mary has been giving me lots of raw meaty bones! I LOVE raw meaty bones! I am so glad she has started giving me real food. It tastes soooo much better! I still get kibble though, Mary says we have to at least finish the bag of EVO kibbles.
My hair is really starting to change colors! I'm going to have the prettiest BLUE hair when its all changed! Its going to be like a bluish gray color. But right now I look kinda faded and almost brown sometimes! I can't wait to be all blue!
Precious and I have been chasing lots and lots of squirrels lately. I just love to jump and run across the yard at them. But sometimes Precious gets mad at me for scaring them away too soon! She says I could learn a thing or two about squirrel chasin from her!
Well I better go now. So far I managed not to get a bath today! But there's always that chance...

Super Swimming Poodle!

Hi All...
I went swimming! It was fun, but kinda scary at first! I don't want to go in very far, but I wish I could swim as well as Dunbar, he's my hero...
I got pretty messy out there too! Lots of knots and some tangles... ouch! Someday I will be shaved and not have to worry about tangles and I can go swimming ALL THE TIME! But for now we can't go very often... though I did hear something about a doggie pool in the back yard..? That would be cool!
Mary bought me a green froggie tube for me to wear arond my belly when I go swimming next! She says I got to learn how to use my rear end... I just want to tread water like she does!
I'll let you know how I like it later!
I can't wait to go swimming again...epseically if Dunbar is there!
Time to go see if Precious will play with me...

Hi Everyone, me again.
I passed my CGC! I'm so happy... I was such a bouncy happy poodle. I had to meet the other dog a few times, but that was Mary's fault cause she wasn't telling me to sit and focusing on "me." I don't know how, I'm so cute to focus on an all... But I passed it! YAY!
I also got to play rally on the day I took my CGC. It was SO much fun! We kinda made up some of our own stuff as we went along lol... but the instructor was nice. And did I mention fun? The best part was when everybody clapped for me at the end!! I know they were clapping for me... I did a giant poodle jump for joy up into the air for them! My happy poodle zoomies were kinda cut short by the leash though...
I'm tired, I got my rabies shot this week... and my ears are sore too. I hate it when Mary cleans them! But I hope they get better soon!
I won't be in any shows this summer, we are going to practice practice practice! Oh, and don't forget--grow more hair of course! Mary said something about us both getting into shape...? I hope that means MORE WALKS! That would be the greatest. I just love walks...
Thank you for my rosettes Bella and Chanel! They are so pretty :).
