Summertime!

I just LOVE summer! I get to be outside ALL of the time! I LOVE being in my 2000 square foot outdoor pen! It is my FAVORITE! I even like running around with my little sister Scooter out there! There is a lot of straw, and a lot of grass, so I can feel free running around. I get LOTS of exercise, and then when I come inside after dinnertime I crash. I just lay down and fall asleep anywhere. Most of the time, I get to lay with Daddy on the bed while he watches t.v. Usually, my sister only gets to lay on the couch with Mommy, so I feel kind of spoiled, but that's because I am the oldest. I love summertime!

Halloween...

Last year, my mommy and daddy had a big party and they dressed me up as a princess for Halloween. This year, it was much quieter at home, and since we live on a dead end road, I didn't even have to wear a costume! Actually, mommy says that my costume is a doggy costume, but I wear that every day! Last year, I got into the cupcake platter for the party, and ate a whole bunch of frosted cupcakes before my mommy caught me. It was hard to hide because she had dyed the frosting orange, so I had orange frosting all over my face and paws, but they sure were yummy. I wonder when she will make cupcakes this year....

Taking myself for a walk...

Well, last week Thursday my mommy came out of her bedroom with the big boxes. I know what that means, it means that she is going on a trip for a while and will be leaving me home with my daddy. Now, I love my daddy, but my mommy really spoils my sister and I. So, the weekend went by really slowly, and I waited and waited for my mommy to come home. On Sunday, my daddy said that mommy would be home tomorrow, which I think must mean soon. Well, mommy came home really early in the morning, she seemed really tired, probably because she was on an airplane all night. Then, she let Scooter and I outside to go potty and I was so mad at her for leaving that I decided to take myself for a romp in the woods across the street (not our property) to cool off. I could hear my mommy and daddy calling for us through the woods, but I just kept running and running and running. Scooter was trying hard to keep up, but because she is littler than me it took her a while. Well, after we had been gone a few hours, this nice man called to us, and we went over to see him, because we LOVE people! And the man let us into his brick building and let us explore there. After a while, my mommy came to get us, and BOY did she look MAD! She told us that we were bad dogs and then we had to go home and stay in our crates for a long long time. She did look really happy to finally have us home, and she let us have a few drinks of water before we had to go stay in our crates, and she hugged us both really tight.
