Birthday: March 16th 2000 Likes: loving. affection. The more the better. Just scratch his chest and he's in heaven. Pet-Peeves: Doesn't like his toys taken from him but he's forgiving. Favorite Toy: His wife and baby. Favorite Food: Cheese, chicken, peanut butter, steak, bread sticks. Favorite Walk: Around the cul-da-sac with his dad in the morning. Best Tricks: Cleaning the dirty dishes in the dishwasher. When he hears the door open, he doesn't miss a beat. Loves it. He tries to talk and makes all these different sounds. Arrival Story: After we lost our beloved Buster at 14 years old, I went to the humane society and after several attempts there was "Merlin" which is what they named him. He immediately jumped against the gate and started kissing me. It was love at first "kiss." This fella has been a charm from the beginning. Fast learner. He never gave us a minutes problem at 7 months. Of course we didn't think that Merlin was very masculine so try as we may, couldn't think of an appropriate name and our neighbor said: why not call him Sargeant? Of course we did.Well they tell us he has a husky tail and maybe some Lab. Wow, he is a mixture. When I look at him sometimes I see a Doberman in his eyes. But whatever he is, he is loved... Bio: He was found near a hospital very thin and worn. The shelter wasn't far from there.
If you look at the main picture and proceed to look at the others, you'll see the difference in weight. Now a happy, healthy and playful pup even at 4 years old. He loves laying under the desk on his bed while I'm working. Note in the pic how content he is. Sound asleep.
He has the Shepherd intelligence although I see several mixes in him. At least 80% Shepherd, some husky, doberman and maybe terrier. We couldn't have asked for a better and more loving animal. Although we dearly miss our beloved Buster, this guy has won our hearts. Although we don't know exactly the other breeds in him, Shepherd is predominant, husky tail, lab ears etc. We've never seen such a passive & loving dog. What a winner in him.
