Woof Woof Everyone

Hope every-paw had a barkin' good holiday season and New Year. I cleaned up this Christmas, got lots of treats from grandma, money for treats from grandpa, puppy bling bling from Mama Tina (my mom's roommate) and a St Frances Medal and bakery treats from Mom. I couldn't have asked for a better holiday. (although next year i'm asking my mom for my very own yard--she just doesn't know it yet!!)

I'm kinda feeling blue these days because its SOOOOOO cold and I want to go out and play. Mom took me to the park at Desert Breeze a few times but hardly anyone was there and they didnt' stay long. I am looking forward to warmer days coming. The only great thing about this is that Mom wants me to cuddle with her all the time--I guess I keep her warm or something :)

I just joined the Vegas dogs group. I hope to meet some puppy friends through that in the Spring--Mom is thinking about taking me to the Celebrity Dog Walk on the 18th March. Y'all should come too!!

Okay I gotta run. I think I hear meowing in the other room.
Oh yeah, PS I have 2 new kitty "stepsisters". Their names are Shai and Tiki. For some reason, they're both frightened of me. Could be that together they don't weigh as much as MY noggin....Can't they tell I just want to PLAY??? We'll be friends soon I know it.........

Have New Roommates

Oh my GOODNESS, I have really hit the jackpot--I have 2 new "tiny" roommates...they are 2 1/2 and 4 1/2 years old. These roommates are of the human persuasion and are very careless with their meals and snacks, which means I CLEAN UP....literally....Until this, the 6th year of my life, I have never known what a berry-flavored pop tart tasted like.....

Living with roommates is a new experience for Mom and Me, but we are adjusting quite well....I love it b/c there's always someone home for me. I couldn't ask for more attention (well I COULD, but I don't know that any more would be possible) and I'm getting love and treats by the boatload. Today was doggie spa day--when my "stepmom" moved in, she went out and bought me a wonderful doggie beauty box and I smell so sweet now, you'd never know how much trouble I can be ;)
(if i smell like heaven, I MUST be an angel, right???!!!)

So big days ahead for me---Thanksgiving (oh yeah I KNOW i'm getting some turkey), then Christmas (i wonder if Mom's getting me a better present this year since she has a better job now?) AND my birthday.

Can you believe I'm going to be 7 years old? I don't look a day over 3!! And I have the energy of a 2 year old--I'm still stealing tupperware out of the sink!

Unfortunately I have to go now--Mom has to work, but I will write again soon;
Merry Christmas
Feliz Navidad
Joyeux Noel
Nollaig Shona Dhuit

This week is the greatest!!

My mom got a new job but she doesn't start until the 31st Jan. And she left her other job last Friday. So I'm having her all to myself this week!!

We went to the dog park, we went to my friend Kristina's, we went for walks around the track near our apt., we laid on the couch and watched DVD's, and I've been spoiled with treats...And its ONLY Tuesday :)

Now, if only the box Grandma sent me with a new rawhide bone would get here quick....

Inspiration

My mom and I have been inspired. Here's how it goes. About 2 weeks ago, we're at the dog park. I'm playing, I'm running, I'm looking cute and sassy. In comes some new "friends" whose parents tell my mom about a book called Ella in Europe so my mom decided to check it out, thinking it might be a kiddie's book.

Well, its not. The dog on the front looks passably like me I suppose (which started the whole conversation to begin with) but the real great news is the whole book is about the love between this man and his dog and how for his dog's 10th birthday he takes Ella on a 2-month Euro trip. They go to London, they go to France, (tee hee hee)....

So then my mom and I look at each other and its instant. We know-WE have to go. She is even checking out a book at the library called 101 great European Trips for you and your dog or something like that. So we're saving our dough (and our bones) probably for well over a year but we're going to make it over there, I swear.

I hear they treat doggies much nicer across the Ocean then they do here. Maybe finally someone will appreciate my dinner company instead of making me stay outside the restaurant!!!

More news soon on our progress...
