Wow, today is the big day! Six long weeks with lots of hard work, but if I do actually get a diploma at the end of today then it will all have been worth it! I have to admit, also, that Basic Obedience class has been really fun! I get to eat tons of treats and see a bunch of other dogs while hanging out with mom! Mommy was so proud of me last week too, and that always makes for an extra fun time. We weren't able to make it to class two weeks ago because mommy was sick, but we practiced on our own. Must have paid off, cause the teacher made a point of praising how well I was behaving and listening especially after having missed a class! He also said that I was a great example of how trainable a Cavalier is, and that people shouldn't just think of us as lapdogs with no brains! I agree! Anyway, I wonder what kind of treats they will have at class tonight... yummyyyy... Mommy said that I can't eat a lot though cause she is worried that I will end up back at the hospital like I did las Thursday night. Apparently I ate a piece of edible bone which was too big and it blocked my intestines. I don't really know what those are, but I do know that I was REALLY uncomfortable and didn't want to even LOOK at food. Mommy seemed really relieved that I didn't have to get surgery, I wonder what that is? Anyway, gotta go study, catch you later diary!
This weekend was so much fun. On Saturday mom took me to Tompkin's Square Park for the first time for the Cavalier Meet-up! I love that park! It is so nice that there are wood chips on the ground as opposed to pee covered gravel, ewww. All in all, four of us showed up to meet, me, Bunny, Ginger, and Guiness. They were all really fun dogs to play with and I hope we get to play again! After the play date mom bought me some toys and a fisherman knit sweater! Too big for me now, but too cute to pass up and I know I will grow into it. Sunday was just as beautiful a day and we were out for a long time again just walking around. Daddy and Mom took me back to Tompkins Square Park where I got to run around after a lot of Italian Greyhounds... they are fast!!! anyway, back at work today looking cute! Tomorrow is my first day at daycare!!!
It is SO windy out!! I kept hearing things behind me on the walk to work this morning but when I would turn around (much to my mommy's dismay) there was nothing there! It was so weird. I wonder when mom is going to stop coughing all the time. It is really getting annoying at night when she wakes me up with her coughing fits. I hear her telling people that is something called Bronchitis, I really hope I can't get that too. And why does she have to keep moving me over in the bed in the middle of the night?! She KNOWS that I like to sleep smack dab in the middle curled up next to her. My REM cycles have been so out of wack lately, thank god I get to sleep at the office all day or I don't know WHAT I would do! Just to keep everyone up to date, my new favorite toys are the "me-sized" tennis ball and "crabby" the blue squeaky toy. You guys all really need to get yourself some of them, they are the best. K, time for my mid-morning nap.
