Arrival Story:
I first saw Goofch out the window of my hairdresser's, sunning in the back of a pickup truck and it was love at first sight. My husband and I already had one dog (Modean) and were considering getting a second one. When I told my hairdresser I was in lurve with that doggie out the window, she said it was a rescued dog and was up for adoption. Goofch came from a breeder, and since he wasn't bought as a baby, he was kept in a kennel for 5 months and was not treated well. We're not sure the whole story, but he was super-skinny, and was terribly afraid of noises and of men, particularly with men facial hair. He was recued by a couple of women who had cats, horses, dogs, and a gaggle of neices and nephews, so Goofch learned to love women, children and other animals during the 6 months he was with them waiting for a good permanent home. When we adopted him, he had to learn to love Tony, but he was immediately part of the family and bonded right away with me and with his adopted brother, Modean. Now, 6 years later, he is a happy, silly, if a little bit clingy, sweet dog.
