Arrival Story:
Sadie was another rescue from the Humane Society. The Humane Society actually called my husband, remembering how we rescued Jake and how well taken care of he has been, and my husband went to see her. She was a mess. She had worms; her ears were sliced up; she had big welts on her, she had kennel cough, she was practically emaciated (she only weighed 45 pounds and she's a large dog). It took her almost a month and a lot of medical care before she came home to us. They even thought she had had puppies, but weren't sure. It seemed like no one wanted anything to do with her because of how sickly she was. But now she's a healthy 68 pounds, her coat is shiny, her teeth are in wonderful shape, and she is the most affectionate animal I have ever come across over the past several years. She thinks she's a lap dog too; loves to cuddle. I am so happy she's a part of our family!!
