Likes: Kimo loves to play with other dogs around his age and size. He loves swimming and playing in water as well (Not to mention rolling in mud !!).
Pet-Peeves: Kimo does not like to be yelled at, neither does he like to be in a cage/crate.
Favorite Toy: Kimo has none because he chewed up all the toys we gave him. Have you seen a stuffed toy all chewed and spitted out all over the entire house ? It is not a very pretty site.
Favorite Food: Kimo loves bones, lots of bones, and of course the home cook meals.. yummy
Favorite Walk: Kimo love to run in big nice parks, with lots of greens and flowers. Kimo also enjoy walking his owners instead of them walking him. Thus the owners are scared of Kimo !!! LOL
Best Tricks: Kimo is always learning new tricks, but he can do quite well with stay , and A H H tricks.
Arrival Story: I dreamt of the dog before I got to adopt him. It was so strange, as I got a dream and then I woke up and went online where I found him looking for a new home. The rest is history...
Bio: Kimo is of Golden Retreiver and Akita mix. He has a sister that looks just like him. Someone else adopted the sister before I got to him. But Kimo is just fine.

I've Been On Dogster Since:
Kimo helped select a location for the new dog park here in Pompano Beach. We walked the various sites to see how he liked the terrain & features. Last week, the city commision voted in favor of our first choice, a beautiful site in a very visible location. Now all the pups in Pompano will have a place to run! see www.pompanodogpark.com for details!
We bought a van just for Kimo and his friends. There's plenty of room for a pack of pooches to travel to the dog park. The black upholstery in the VW finally is free of Kimo hair after many cleanings.
We also discovered a source for gorgeous flashing illuminated dog collars, and are making them available to all dog owners. If you walk your dog after dark along roads without sidewalks (as we do) you will certainly want one of these for your pooch. Click on my video to see the flashing LED's in action! Call (954) 933-6393 for information on purchasing this well-made and economical accessory.
Kimo embarked on a long journey from Pompano Beach to New York City. It took like 3 days and 2 nights. At first Kimo was not used to travelling in a car for more than 4 hours. He was quite uneasy and tried to get dashed off at every rest area we stopped at.
However after travelling past North of Jacksonville, Kimo finally decided to sleep. The rest of the journey leg was easy for him.
When we first reached downtown Manhattan, Kimo needed a little adjustment as there is not open area for him to run. In fact, he was on the leash at all times, he even met some cops on horses there. Kimo had a great time in New York City, he loved the weather and the people.
While in NYC, we walked Kimo across the Brooklyn Bridge and he was so happy ;)
Kimo saw the Statue of Liberty too, from Battery Park. He even played with other dogs in the Dog Run there. We spent about five weeks in the NYC area.
Out of the five weeks, we took 3 days off and spent it in Cape Cod. Kimo loves Cape Cod a lot as he get to jump and swim in the ocean and run in the big meadows too. Plus the 50's degrees weather kept him so cool and relaxed. He met and made a lot of friends there in Cape Cod too.
Finally we decided to head back to Florida on Sept 18th, 2006. Kimo likes to go back home to play in his yard but he does not like the long drive home from New York City to Pompano Beach.
Future trips ??? Maybe California and Las Vegas !!!
