Mommy wasn't gone to school for very long to day. She came home and we went for a walk. But she tricked me because the next thing I knew, I was in the vet's office!! I didn't even see it coming. But this time nothing bad happened. Mommy just said she wanted me to meet the new doctor--and not be scared of the new vet clinic. As if that's going to happen. Then we walked home. And I walked the whole way all by myself! Even on stairs! (But Mommy had to carry me over the busy streets, because I walk too slow. I like walks, but now I'm pretty doggone tired.

Cold hands and warm bellies

Cold hands and warm bellies do not mix. When you humans come home from what ever it is that you abandon us dogs for, you come inside (with freeeezing hands) and rub our bellies. (My mommy always does this.) It's cooold. Now I like belly rubs, but with warm hands.
I was a good girl today. I learned a new trick. When I'm on the furniture, Mommy says, down and I jump to the floor. But then I jump right back up because the floor isn't as fun. Especially when Mommy is eating dinner. She almost never notices when I take food from her plate . . .

Last night, I almost broke my mommy's brand new lamp. I was running and hit the cord. But Mommy wasn't too mad about it. We were going to go to the doctor today. Mommy said it was just to meet him, but I know better. But then she spent too much time talking to Grandma on the phone and we didn't have time. I love Grandma. And I was supposed to get a bath today, but Mommy forgot. Today must be my lucky day. Mommy said at the end of the week, she might not have as much time to play with me--she said it was something called midterms. I don't know what that is, but I don't like it. Maybe I can help her with it. Oh, I can't write anymore, Mommy's cooking popcorn--must go beg!
