Ahh, post Christmas...

Christmas is a wonderful time, time to celebrate family, food, and most of all - presents for ME!!! I got the best loot!!! A new green ball that bounces really well, a yellow bone thingy, a three legged flying thingy, and some new balls for me to chase! WOOHOO!!! So much better than socks or shirts, which is what daddy got!

Plus, I got to chase my human cousin around all over the place - he's so little and smells so yummy that I just love licking him and running after him!

I'm feeling much better now! I've got my energy back, and boy, does it feel good to be able to run around!!!

Plus, mommy took me for a walk in the neigborhood - it was short, but I REALLY loved it!

Getting better...

Hi everyone, here is a quick update:

The vet said that Archie did well in surgery. He removed a large stone from his stomach, and did not find any other obstructions, strings, poles, cats, other small dogs, Geiko geckos, or anything else that shouldn't be in his stomach.

He also removed an extra puppy tooth that was coming in.

There's an 8" incision on his belly (for a 11" puppy, that's big!), and it's now held together with the 'internal' stitches that don't itch like the external ones, so the vet doesn't think he will need to wear a large collar, unless he scratches or licks himself open.

He is resting comfortably right now, on a morphine (plus two others) drip (including one for antibiotics, and one to counter the stress he's under). We're going to visit him later this evening, but he has to stay there all night and most of tomorrow, so they can watch him.

Something I ate...

Ugh.. I'm sick.

When what goes in doesn't stay down, and what comes out does so with red stuff, it's not good. Mommy and Daddy took me to the doctor, who said that yes, I'm sick, and that there's something in my tummy.

I'll have to have an x-ray to see what it is. Can I eat x-rays, too?

Finally!!

Oh! I was so good today! Daddy had some food, I sat. I gazed. I downed for him. I sat back up! YUM! BUTT DOWN!!! YUM!!! FOOD for the good poodle!! Yes, I'm a good one, right?!?

MOMMY TO THE RESCUE!!! WOOHOOO!!!!!

YES YES YES!!! I love my mommy!!! She just made me the bestest, most amazinglestest yummiest dinner ever!!! Tastes like chicken, but looks like turkey - and who cares? It's yummy!!!

Locked in!

I was locked in today, while mommy and daddy did some stuff outside. They closed my personal door, so all I could do is guard the house. I was really good at doing that, until I fell asleep.

I heard another pup barking, and I said hello to him, but daddy didn't want me talking to the neighbor dogs. Boy, is he mean!

I looked outside, and things don't seem to be much changed over... but some of my favorite grasses are cut way down. I wonder what else they did?

Swimming!

WOOHOO!!!

Mommy and Daddy took me swimming today! That was so much fun, but the water was C-C-C-C-c-c-oooolld-d-d-d!!!

There were lots of other doggies there to play with, and we got to play fetch with my favorite ball! I had to wear my life jacket, but that's ok, it made swimming much easier!

Hmph.

Daddy shaved my face, but apparently, I"M much better at it than he is! For, he left lots of hair-corn-rows on my nose! Humph. That's not a proper face shaving!
