Life As Ice

busy busy, busy as we head into the holiday season!

Well, Halloween in over! It was great fun, and we were too late for the contest at Petland, but we still went in to say hello to our friends there!

I recieved TONS of hugs & kisses & pats from people while trick or treating, and My mom carved 2 pumpkins, each had a great dane on it, one with natural ears & one with cropped ears. They turned out really good! I am so proud of her! :-)

Now that Halloween is over, yesterday was Joe (my mom's brother) 's 19th birthday!!

And now, today (November 3rd) is Joe's Doxie's 1st birthday! I can't beleive the little turd is 1 year old already!

Mom has a lot going on now with all of these holidays coming up, and she said she is trying to start a new group called "Buckeye Danes" or "Great Danes of Ohio", and hoping to find lots of danes who live in Ohio to start a meetup group! I would love to meet some other new danes! What fun!

Well, I guess I should probably get off here & get ready for bed, I am a tired dog!

Howl-o-ween!

Wow, My mommy has been a busy woman!

Last year, she humiliated me by dressing me as a milk cow! ME, a big macho male great dane.

This year, she says I will be dressed as a Horse to match her Cowgirl outfit. Not the most original idea she has ever had, but it is much better as a cow!

Me & Mystery will be horses, and Bo & Melody will go as Cows (much better them than me! ha ha!)

Trick or Treat night is in 2 days, I am so excited, mom even hand-made our costumes, she is such a good slave to us!

I am looking forward to mooching snacks and hugs off of all the little kids!!

Ok, I have to go keep my sisters out of trouble!

My Introduction.

Hello everyone! I am Ice. I am a purebred Harlequin Great Dane!

Over a year ago, I lived far away from my family, with another family. My Skin-sister saw an ad about me and, I came to live with this family.

When I came here, they had a great dane puppy named Destiny. She was my only Dane sister. Sadly, destiny passed away as a baby a year ago. My family decided to adopt a new puppy in January of 2007, and they found Mystery.

She was such a nuisance at first, but now she is getting to be a wonderful Playmate.

Then, in June, Melody came to live with us. I was very shocked, as I am now a big brother and a role model to 2 little sisters!! It was up to me to teach them how to behave like a great dane!

I was sure my family was completed, but in August, my mom was asked to take in a brother/sister pair of retired breeding danes. The girl is the mom to Melody.

My family reluctantly agreed, and soon realized that they had made the perfect choice.

I was very excited about having another dane around that was my age & my size, but soon Picasso (the boy) and I got into a fight, and then another. After spending the night with the vet, and getting several stitches in my neck & shoulder, my family had to rehome picasso.

I personally don't miss him, but I know his sister & the family misses him greatly, because they cry for him often, but I try my best to comfort them.

My mom says our family is now complete at 4 great danes, and that for now, we cannot do any male fosters like we used to, because she says I am too stubborn. She just doesn't understand that this is My family, and I do not want to share! haha.

Anyways. I just wanted to introduce myself. More to come later!!
