Arrival Story:
We looked to adopt for some time and were waiting to adopt a rottweiler from the SPCA and the day we were going to pick him up our landlord apparently changed his mind and told the SPCA we "weren't allowed to have a dog" . Hence, we couldn't adopt .. and we were young and new to the city so we settled with a "free" dog in the paper (free, assuming it was an accident, therefore not supporting unnecessary breeding) turns out the lady asked us for $75 . We weren't impressed but were so upset about the whole situation, we gave her $50 and shoved off.
