We stopped at Petsmart to go to the bathroom and found out that they were having an adopt-a-thon. We had wondered around looking at all of the dogs for about an hour but didn't find one we wanted. On our way out of the store, a lady from the pound was strapping a cage full of puppies to the back of a truck and we stopped to look at them and this little guy put his paws up on the side and smiled at me. I turned around to ask my husband if we could get one of these puppies, and when I turned around, Bear had climbed over all of the other dogs and was standing by the door. He sort of picked us!
Bio:
Bear is part champion Catahoula and part sneaky Border Collie. The breeder didn't want the mixed puppies and that is why the whole litter was at the pound. Bear has always had a strong herding instinct and would bite my husbands ankles if he wasn't standing next to me when Bear thought he ought to be. He's very brave, but hasn't got much sense, because he picks fights with much bigger and stronger dogs sometimes.
