Arrival Story:
I was rescued in NYC, abandoned in a parking lot, sick and scared and miserable. The Mayor's Alliance for Animals got me healthy again, and the Internet Miniature Pincher Service (my heros!!) found me a wonderful foster home (I'll always love you, Christina!!) Then my foster mom posted on a Dogster group that I was needing a home....and my new mom saw it and fell in love with me. So I had a long road trip from NY to NC, and now I am a southern gentleman.

Bio:
I am gentle and love all people and most dogs. I now love cats, too. I'm a lover, and feel that giving unconditional love is the best way to heal any hurts from my past. My future goals include befriending Pumpkin (Gus loved me and Coco likes me pretty well now.) and becoming a therapy dog. I don't know if I'll ever become a therapy dog, because I like to bark too much. Do you suppose there are people who find barking therapeutic?

Feeling so much better now

Hi, everydoggie....just wanted to update my diary and let you all know that I am feeling better now. Those meds really work! I'm still on heart medicine but off the diuretic, and I'm not congested at all. I went back to the eye doctor this week and it's all good, no problems except that the eye continues to age and have a bit of calcification. But I can see!! I'm a happy guy again, and enjoying the warm sunny weather and going outside whenever I can.

I can breathe a little easier this morning. Mom thinks the medicine is starting to work. I'm not wheezing or gasping. I swallowed my breakfast (and last night's dinner) without choking. I am really tired, though, and just want to lay here. Thanks to all my pup pals for the prayers and good thoughts, it always makes me feel better knowing that you care!

Well, over the weekend I started havig trouble breathing and swallowing...had to go to the vet. It seems that my heart is enlarged and there's congestion around it, pressing on my trachea. I'm now on heart medicine and fluid reducing medicine and I don't feel well. Hoping for improvement soon, once the medicine kicks in!
