Arrival Story:
The person that had me when I was a few months old, didn't want me any longer. So he tied me to a street sign on a country road. Maybe I was better off because they used to hit me and not feed me. It was in the winter... cold and rainy and I was sooooo hungry tied to the sign. Some nice lady rescued me and said she was from the SPCA took me in and tried to find me a home. That's when she took me to Pet Adoptions at the pet store and I met Emily. She kept coming back to me after looking at all of the dogs. It's been a few years that I've lived with my mommy and daddy. They feed me all of the time and give me cookies whenever I'm good. They play with me and love me. And really, that's all I ever wanted. Cookies and play time. I never want to go back to that country road. I really like it here.

Dear Dog Diary,

I feel so honored to be picked as Dog of the Week. Just my mommy and daddy loving me and giving me an endless supply of hugs and cookies seems to fill my days... but this really tops it all!

Thank you DOGSTER and Molly GoLightly!!!
Happy New Year....

Upset belly days

Wowzers.... I have had the worst belly aches but I am sure glad they're over. I had to sneak around and have accidents on the carpet for a few days. Mommy was away for a few days for work and she thinks I was upset she was gone.

But Mommy and Daddy are sure glad the carpet has been cleaned and I'm back to my normal self.

I have come up with rules for dogs when not feeling so well.

1. Don't refuse a cookie as a sign that you're not feeling well. If you don't take it, the cookies will stop coming. Simply take it, and hide it under your bedding for a treat later on.

2. If you have an accident in the house and Mommy or Daddy ask you if you did it or they say, 'no', simply act like you have no idea what they are talking about. Honestly, one of them could have done it and they are the ones in denial.

3. If you really need to be sick in the house, find the luggage. It might just prolong their next trip.

4. If Mommy thinks you need a dog sweater or a set of paw shoes, simply growl to your complete and total disdain. If she puts them on you, simply pull everything off and be sick on all of the items.

5. If you cannot follow these guidelines, then just give into being sick. And snuggle with your Mommy and Daddy. A belly rub or a brushing never hurt any dog friend I've ever known.

WOOF.

Dreams....

Dear Diary,

I hate it when I am having a great dog dream about running with all of my pup pals without fences or leashes and I wake up to mommy and daddy laughing at me. She says that I'm 'running' while laying in my bed.... and laughs and says how cute it is.

I certainly don't wake her up when she's dreaming of being at the mall shopping for more handbags and shoes. The noises she makes when she gets a new handbag is more embarrassing than my running in my sleep.

I wish they would just let me finish the dream. DARNIT.

Sam.... I am THE HUMAN WONDER DOG
