"Gold nuggets"
Round em up . . . Yiii haaawwww! Get along little dooggies!November 5th 2006 11:03 am[ Leave A Comment ] Many woofs and a belly rub to all my dog friends! Time for a little catch up about what I did at the farm while Dad wuz out of town. Mostly I played chasing tennis balls and exploring with my farm dog pals Murphy and Ginger! But one day there was much excitement . . . some of the chickens decided to flee the coup. This is a true story . . . there was a real escape from the chicken coup. Mitch and Sherrie (Murphy and Ginger's human Dad and Mom) were running all over trying to round up the chickens and get them back where they belong. Using my super golden retriever sniffer, I picked up the trail of a feathered escapee' who had disappeared into the Alfalfa field. I ran em down and picked up the varmit and brought em back to Mitch and Sherrie. There were so surprised that I could bring a live chicken back unharmed (though the chicken wuz nun too happy about being held snug but safe in my jaws). When Dad heard the story he wuz very proud of me. It wuz the first live bird I carried and I did it all on my own without anyone showing me how. Just everyday work for a Golden RETRIEVER! I like the flavor of tennis balls better than a dusty ol' chicken though! Woof! Get a long little dooggie! The Gabester
Off to the Farm . . . Yippee!October 22nd 2006 2:40 pm[ Leave A Comment ] Guess what everybody, I'm going to the farm! Yes, it's true, my Dad has to go to two conferences this week back to back out of town, so instead of going to the joint, you know the slammer, the caged doggy run at my vets, I get to go to the farm. I have some friends, Murphy and Ginger who live on a farm near town and often when my Dad is out of town, I get to go stay with them. It is so much fun, I can run all over and stay outside as long as I want. Though it is getting colder out now, there was a small skiff of snow on the grass yesterday, I love the snow!!!!! Murphy and Ginger are pretty cool. Murphy is a muttster but a cool guy who loves to chase tennis balls; and ginger is a red heeler, who when not herding cattle, also loves to chase tennis balls (boy is fast and is she a babe!). On the farm there are also cats (hey, cats are cool but strange!), horses, calves and chickens . . . .Yippee, I love the farm! Gotta run, have some runnin and explorin to do! The Gabester
Never met a doughtnut, I didn't like . . . .October 6th 2006 8:54 am[ Leave A Comment ]
Yes, it's true, I love doughtnuts, whenever I can beg one! Dad took me to his men's group this morning. Supposedly they study, but if you ask me, all they do is drink coffee (ugh!) and eat doughtnuts (yummy!). Usually I like to sleep in after Dad gets up but this morning I thought I'd trot over to the group next door at the church with him and go to his Friday morning men's group. These guys love dogs, and I can usually get a good scratch or two around the ears and perhaps a treat! I can always take another nap in Dad's office later.
