Arrival Story:
My oldest daughter decided I needed a dog to keep me company. We went to the shelter and she noticed Ileen almost immediately. All the other dogs were barking and running around in their cages, but Ileen was sitting quietly staring right at my daughter. The shelter worker said she was missing a leg and she had been with them for over a year-no one seemed to want a 3 legged dog. We took her into the reception area to watch her play. She ran around exploring & sniffing, but not bothering anything. Then she jumped up into the chair next to me and climbed into my lap looking right into my eyes. It was love!

Bio:
Ileen lost her leg before entering into the shelter system so no one knows what happened. I suspect her former owner took good care of her before they became seperated; the vet says her surgery was top notch and she has very good manners. She came to me in 2003 and has completely changed my life and charmed all who meet her.
