Likes: Tawny loves to roll on the front lawn and have her tummy scratched - she will roll around on the lawn and 'growl' until you pat her. When we come home from a walk she'll roll for ages, mostly so she doesn't have to go inside.
Pet-Peeves: Even if she really wants to go outside, if the ground is wet she'll try to keep those 'pretty paws' as dry as possible. She doesn't like the sweet little old dog next door and barks madly if we pat it.
Favorite Toy: Humans. We're operated by pawing gentlty at our leg (maybe with a slight begging noise). Once she has our attention we'll be taken to the object or place Tawny needs assistance with. From a simple back-scratch to 'I'm going to have my puppies now'
Favorite Food: Cheese, cat food.
Favorite Walk: To the car - from there we could be going anywhere exciting! Somewhere with carpet and treats is always nice - Grandma's....
Best Tricks: Turning on the charm.
Arrival Story: We had a four year old Chow who was quite independant and content but we thought our new huge backyard could be shared. Sharni was totally confused by Tawny-pup and she 'snobbed' us for a couple of weeks. Then Sharni remembered how to be a puppy herself, and although she remained the boss, they became best mates. Tawny has been a perfect mum to 10 puppies (3) (6) (1) over the years. Some we still meet with.
