Lots of new clothes!

The other day I got a weird body suit in the mail. It looks like a wet suit to me, except it is blue. I shook and shook but it wouldn't come off. I also tried to scrape it off by rubbing on the couch, but that didn't work either.

Mom says it is for when I get my bump removed so I don't scratch the stitches. I'm NOT looking forward to that! Maybe I'll fuss when I get there on Wednesday!

My other new piece of clothing is a nice red Christmas/winter sweater that my brother and his fiancée gave me. I really like it. It's pretty comfortable and I don't try to take it off.

Mom took pictures of me in both new outfits.

New clothes

Mom got me a new rain coat. Actually it was a hand-me-down from my cousin. Mom kept making me sit still so she could take a picture and embarrass me with it in front of everyone!

I really hate going outside when water comes out of the sky and it was REALLY coming out of the sky today! I did manage to pee outside with the coat on but by the time mom ran inside to get something, I had managed to take the coat off.

Now I'm happily warm and dry INside!

Life is good

Today is a beautiful day and mom and I were outside. She was cutting pieces from our bushes when water started coming out of the sky so I ran to the front door to tell her to go inside.

After the water stopped, mom asked me if I wanted to rake things so I wagged my tail. She finished raking things into our big trash can and I'm sleeping in the driveway.

Life is good.

Fun in the sun--and snow!

Today was prettier outside than it had been in a long time. We went walking with our neighbors and I played in the snow! I was trying to find animals to eat, but I didn't find any.

Then Lucy and I had a play date in her back yard! I got to dig in the snow some more and then we went home.

I had a great day!

I am in T R O U B L E

I got in trouble. I fought with my aunt's dog. She's old. (The dog.) Ok, first I did something inappropriate with her. Then she (again, the dog) got really, really angry at me and I got angry back. My dad grabbed me by the back legs and put me in the car. Then he went back inside my aunt's house and felt embarrassed even though they told him not to. This has been a good way to convince my parents that I need to be the only dog.

Nothing For Me?!

Today mom came home with packages. She started to open one. I sat there really nicely with my ears back, staring at her in the most pitiful way I could manage. I even put my paw up.

The package crinkled and made that nice dog-toy sound.

Was I ever disappointed when it turned out to be votive candles!!!! Why wasn't there anything in there for me?!?!

Late Fall Happenings

I just got back from a stay at the vet's. It's ok there, but my tail stops wagging when i realize that my mom and dad aren't staying with me.
But, I was very glad to see Dad come pick me up yesterday. I even got to go to work with him!! I watched him fix a floor and put new tiles down.

Today, I barked at a deer. It *is* hunting season now, after all!

I'm in trouble again even though I am doing good!

A while ago, Dad wouldn't let me eat a rabbit I caught!! He put me in time out in the car while he caught the rabbit and took it back outside!!

Then, the other day, Blackie and I found a bird. I was chasing it around the house when *mom* put me in time out on the chain out front so *she* could catch the bird!!

She never did, ha ha!! We all think it flew out the open door, but I'm sure I'll catch it again. If not, I'll catch another one!!!

Oh, an internet friend of mom's says she is going to adopt a dog because of MY diary here on Dogster!!!!!!

I am SO happy for her!!!!

I had a photo shoot!!!!

Today, a van pulled up in the driveway. I barked. Mommy said not to bark because the lady actually *was* there to see ME!

She got out a camera and took a bunch of pictures of me. One of the pictures is going to be on a calendar next year!!

Spring is the time for visiting

My aunt was visiting this weekend. I killed her a squirrel, but mom threw it away before she got here. :(

She and mom went shopping and wouldn't bring me along! Then they came back and my aunt said that the birds outside were asking for seed (Ok, they *were* asking for seed--they were rapping on the window!!) so mom and my aunt went out and bought them seed!! Spoiled animals!!

My aunt bought *me* some treats though! I know she loves me best! :D
