Arrival Story:
We visited the shelter because I was interested in another dog that was there. It turned out that he had been adopted just before we arrived, and would have been a poor choice for us anyhow. After asking us some questions about the kind of dog we were looking for, the volunteers suggested "Roxy". Roxy was so scared of the other dogs, she had to be carried out of the kennel to the waiting room, where she curled up on the couch next to Steve and wagged her tail at us. We took her home and she became Laika, the dog who loves other dogs.
Bio:
The shelter called her a Chinese Shar-pei/Black Lab mix...she does have some really cute wrinkles, but we're sure there's a lot of other stuff in there, too. Ears like a terrier, smell like a hound.
