Sadly Lucille Bald has died.

On November 15th, 2010, Lucille Bald died of old age. She was at her home when she passed with her family and Three Leg Fred at her side. She will be missed more than anyone can imagine.

We love our Lucille Bald and are sure she is probably in Doggy Heaven sitting on the back of the couch or getting into a garbage can.

Rest in peace Lucy.

Lucille Bald turns 1,000 years old!

Well, not that old. But Lucille Bald is getting really, really old. Just like humans, her hair is getting thin and gray and she has slowed down a lot. But the crazy antics of her brother Vizsla, Three Leg Fred, seem to keep her young. She is one spunky little senior citizen!

Condolences to the family of Gus, the 2008 World's Ugliest Dog winner. He was an amazingly special boy. Bless his little heart.

Lucille Bald introduces her new brother, Three Leg Fred

There's a new addition to Lucille Bald's family, Three Leg Fred (aka Fred). Fred is a rescued Vizsla (Hungarian hunting dog) adopted from an 800 acre farm in south Georgia.

Fred lost his leg in an unknown accident and was found under a barn with his back leg crushed.

Now with only three legs, he runs, swims and does everything a four-legger can do. His next challenge will be to join Lucille Bald as a certified therapy dog.

Congrats to the New World's Ugliest Dog

Lucille Bald sends a warm congrats to the new 2008 World's Ugliest Dog contest winner! Animal Planet is still running the 2006 show on which Lucille Bald was featured, but the new show is coming out this October!

We can't wait to see it! Another Chinese Crested one. But this one has three legs, like Lucille's new brother, Where's My Leg Fred. His Dogster page is coming very soon!

World's Ugliest Dog Competition to Air on Animal Planet in- November!

HOWL-o-WEEN :: There's a new Sheriff in town!

Lucille Bald won her first non-ugly contest!

She won first in the October's Yappy Hour (a fundraiser for Costal Poodle Rescue) costume contest in Cocoa Village, Florida. We were a Sheriff and Lucille was a horse. It was hysterical.

I got the miniature Western style saddle in a tack shop in Mexico. It fit her perfectly and she loved wearing it (who knew?)

Lucille Bald to be Featured on ANIMAL PLANET!!!

Lucille Bald will be featured on Animal Planet's one hour special called "The World's Ugliest Dog Contest." It will feature several ugly dogs and their stories of overcoming the odds to compete for the title of World's Ugliest Dog. For three years in a row, it was held by Sam, the Chinese Crested hairless from California, but after his passing, the title was up for grabs.

Follow Lucille's travel adventures from her home in sunny Florida, 2,500 miles to Petaluma, California to compete for the 2006 title. People Magazine, Geraldo, Animal Planet and dozens of other media outlets were there covering the canine "kaos." What a blast and it will be a fun show.
