Arrival Story:
We rescued Francy from the SPCA in Kalamazoo, MI. My husband and I found out about Francy from my brother and his wife. They had been searching online for a puppy to adopt. They found a puppy on petfinder.com the week before their wedding! They were going to pick up their new puppy, Quincy, on their way home from their honeymoon. I asked my brother to send me pictures so I could see the new puppy. The email he sent had pictures of the remaining 5 puppies that had yet to find homes. Sure Quincy was cute, but I fell in love with Francy immediately. Jokingly, I sent my brother a text message asking him to pick up Francy for me on his way home! Who knew that we really would end up adopting Francy! We drove the 3.5 hours to Kalamazoo on 08/16 and brought home our little lady!

Bio:
Francy's mom is a 1 year old American Bulldog and her dad is an 11 year old Boxer. Francy was the runt of the 11 puppies in the litter. My brother and his wife adopted Francy's brother, Quincy--the biggest puppy in the litter!

Reunion

Today was the big reunion! It was great to see all my brothers! Quincy, Simon, Brutus, and Murphy all came to the reunion. Murphy and I look very similar; and Quincy, Simon and Brutus look similar to each other. I am definitely the runt of the litter though. Everyone kept saying how small I am compared to those big guys! They said I have short legs! (How dare they)! :o)

Some of my brothers got in the lake to cool off, but not me. I got close enough just to get something to drink. I didn't want to get my hair wet!

After a while of chasing those boys around, I was wiped out. I started going up to people and laying down in front of them so they could pet me. I love being petted. I love meeting new people. It was a lot of fun. Can't wait for the next time we get to all play again!

Moving

WE MOVED!!! I love our new house! There is so much more room for Rocky and I to play. The only bad thing was getting used to the hardwood floors! There were a few times when I was chasing Rocky through the house that I lost my footing and went sliding into the wall!!! It's getting better though. I am getting used to how to walk and run on the slippery new floors. We also have a big yard to play in now. It is the BEST!!! And a Lady Boxer lives next door to us! I haven't met her yet, but I can smell her!

PS--Mom and Dad keep saying how big I have gotten. I am 56 pounds now!

Sleepover in Rocky's crate!

Rocky was sleeping in his crate a couple nights ago, and in the middle of the night I snuck into his crate. It was like having a sleepover! It was a little crowded though, seeing as though Rocky's crate is for small dogs...and there were two of us in there. I just couldn't get comfortable. I kept stepping all over Rocky. He got fed up and ended up leaving his crate and sleeping on our big doggy pillow. I got his crate all to myself! When mom and dad woke up in the morning, they were laughing because my head and front half of my body were outside the crate. I had slept with half of my body on the carpet and the other half in the crate. It was fun, but next time I think I will just stay in my big girl crate!
