Moncton Dog Show

This past weekend mom took me to a dog show. I have been to one before so it wasn't really new. Mom left me in the car when she went to get my number and then we went in. There were dogs all over the place but I went in and did not bark at one and mom was very proud of me. We walked around for alittle while then mom went to get something to eat and I stayed with her while she ordered then layed down on the floor while she ate. Then we went over to the ring to wait for our turn in the ring. There were alot of German Shepherds there. In my class there were three of us and I placed second mom was happy and it was fun. The second day mom had to drive in a snow storm to get to the show but we got there. We walked around for awhile and mom ran me around the ring and then talked to some people. We were in the ring at 9:00 and one was missing out of my class. It suprised mom but the judge said I was first in my class, then I went against all the winning females and got first. Mom was really happy she kept hugging me and kissing me I guess that means I did well. Then I went in against the male and I took best of breed, boy then mom nearly went crazy. When I went in for group I didn't get anything but that was Ok. Now I can relax until next year. Akira

Quispamsis???????????

On Sunday Mom got me and the family up really early she said we have to go to a place called Quispamsis. I have no idea where on earth it is but we left really early. We drove for a long time then mom thought she was going in the wrong direction because the woman gave her confusing directions. But we got to see alot of balloonies in the sky. Mom said they were hot air balloonies. Boy were they pretty their was tons of them. One even looked like a big peanut. Then we went on a boat that cars drive on, it wasn't a big one. I had to talk to the person putting the cars on because he just didn't seem like he knew what he was doing. Then we were at the house mom was going to she said she was getting me a boyfriend I don't know though I just heard him I didn't see him. Mom was impressed though and said she was getting him for sure. Then it was the return trip on the boat with cars but the drive home wasn't quite as long we only did that once.

Halifax

Saturday morning mom loaded everyone including me into the car. I didn't know where we were going but mom and dad brought the tent. It was a long drive in the car, we stopped once and I got to go out and run around then it was back in the car and off again. Then we were in Sackville NS were dad's father lived and then I got to run and sniff all around a new yard the smells the smells boy was that great. Someone there said something about a bear that was suppose to be there, but I wasn't scared. I found a spot on the lawn that I just had to see if there was something under the ground. That night we slept in the tent. The next day Dad's brother scared me when he jumped at me so I barked at him and didn't like him very much. I politely showd him every tooth in my head, he wasn't very nice. After we went over to dad's sister's house and I loved them I wanted to go right into their house. But we just stayed outside and I gave his niece a great big Akira kiss. Course I almost knocked her over but she laughed and loved me. Then it was time to go and back in the car and home again.

Partridge??????

Mom took me for a walk in the woods today. What a wonderful place the woods. Smells like you would not belive and the sounds, have you ever drank tree water it's a the base of alot of really big trees. Boy it is some sweet, but the path water can be alittle funky. And you know what happens when you sneek up on a partridge, boy can they jump and fly some fast, too fast to get your heart going then chase them in order to catch them before they are at the top of a large tree. It had rained just before the walk so by the time we came out I was compleatly soaked. It was still fun though. Bye for now Love Akira

camping

We went camping this weekend, we went to a place called Lock Lomond. Our tent was beside the lake. There were lots of people and more importantly dogs. Mom had me in my kennel and had to take a trip to the washroom, humans and of all the nerve could not bring me with her because of a sign. Well I didn't like being in the kennel so I escaped and then I had fun checking to make sure mom packed everything right and what she didn't I repacked for her. Then I made sure her tent had proper air holes and since I thought she didn't I made a new one and then went to meet her. Boy was she suprised. I also found out it isn't so terrible to meet other dogs and not bark at them. Mom gave me what she called a treat but I didn't think so, she called it trout. But I am glad to be home now and it was fun while it lasted. Happy Canada day to all my pals. Love Akira

GOATS

Mom let me into the pasture with the goat for the first time. I don't know who was more afraid me or them. But when you run around them they all run together and stand looking at me. I also think they are trying to run mom over or protect her because that's where they run. It's still alot of fun, mom is trying to teach me and hopefully I will learn with age. well bye for now Love Akira.

I have a purrrrfect boyfriend.

Well I guess there is no more dening it I now have a boyfriend. He is small and white with grey spots. His name is Pine and he always rubs against me and I have to wash him. And when he gets really happy he PURRS that's right he's a cat and he is in love with me and since I let him near my food and my bones I guess he is my boyfriend because he is the only one that can do anything and he also has to find me where ever I am in the house.

wood or no wood.

Boy I just can't understand humans they think they know everything well I showed them. My human family was busy bringing in wood and they kept bring it on a sled so when they were bring it in I took it upon myself to repile the wood for them I don't understand why dad kept telling me no I thought I was doing a great job. And they had to pile another one on the step well don't they know that wood does not go on a porch so I had to repile it on the ground for them. Well my work is done. Bye for now Akira

Well Christmas is now over and New Years is almost here. I got a new ball for
Christmas and a box of Scooby snacks and some raw hide bones Christmas was goooood. I hope all my dog pals had a good Christmas too. So HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone. Love Akira
